Chapter 521 The Truth of the Car Crash Ten Years Ago

Ophelia's emotions were getting more and more agitated. If it weren't for the police holding her back, she might have beaten Deacon.

Due to Ophelia's background, the police didn't dare to ask her to leave. They could only advise, "Mrs. Abbott, please calm down."

Ophelia couldn't calm down. Her mind was like a series of firecrackers exploding, making her thoughts chaotic. She just wanted to know where Finnegan was, alive or dead.

She had to see him.

"Deacon, tell me, tell me," Ophelia shouted. At that moment, even her tears couldn't be held back. "Deacon, we never wronged you. Why are you so fixated on us? Finnegan could never have killed your parents while driving."

When Deacon mentioned his deceased parents, hatred welled up in his eyes, indicating ten years of resentment. Now that he was caught by the police and abandoned by that person, he didn't even have the chance for revenge. Deacon erupted.

"What have your so-called aristocratic family done? Will you admit it?" Deacon sneered. "Ten years ago, my parents were killed in a car accident caused by Finnegan. The Abbott family sent a driver to take the blame. What? Your lives matter, but my parents' lives don't?"

Even though Deacon's words were firm, Ophelia didn't believe him. "Which year, which day, at what time, on which road segment? You tell me. If Finnegan didn't do it, don't try to frame him."

Ophelia firmly believed Finnegan was innocent.

Deacon smirked coldly. "I've reached this point now. Whether your Abbott family admits it or not doesn't matter anymore. You, Ophelia, a princess of Country F's royal family with such a noble status, even the police have to be wary of you. My life is just something you can manipulate as you please."

Deacon completely gave up resistance but refused to confess to anything.

Whether it was Sybil, Seraphina, Magnus, or the contraband from last night, Deacon denied everything. He only admitted to being at the docks last night and claimed ignorance about the cargo ship, saying it was Finnegan's setup.

Deacon also denied hiring someone to kill Finnegan. He indeed didn't do that.

Deacon remained tight-lipped. Apart from admitting to having a feud with Finnegan, he wouldn't reveal anything else.

Mario couldn't do much with Deacon for now. From Deacon's reactions, it seemed he knew some clues but refused to provide them.

The police continued searching in the mountains, finding numerous car wreckage and burnt phones, yet Finnegan was still not found.

Ophelia was asked by the police to calm down outside. She sat on a bench in the corridor, not having time to grieve or rush. She needed to calm down to sort out everything and find Finnegan. The root of everything was the enmity Deacon mentioned from ten years ago.

Ophelia said to Mario, "Mario, could you check on the case from ten years ago where Deacon's parents were killed by a car? There should be records with the traffic police. Also, I heard about the explosion at the docks last night, with contraband on the cargo ship. Have you found out the cause of the explosion?"

As Ophelia calmed down, she slowly began to piece things together and figure out where to start. But even with a logical explanation, she couldn't resist the coldness in her limbs, the unease in her heart, and the fear. Clutching her hands tightly, Ophelia kept reassuring herself that Finnegan must still be alive. He must be.

After a sleepless night, Ophelia suddenly felt dizzy, her vision darkened, and she fainted. When she woke up again, it was already afternoon.

Wilder was by her side. Seeing her awake, he immediately approached her. "Ophelia, are you okay? Do you feel unwell anywhere?"

"Dad." Ophelia lay there without wanting to move, tugging at the corner of her mouth. "I had a dream, a dream that Finnegan was in trouble. The dream felt so real, Dad. How could I have such a dream? It's impossible." Tears fell from her eyes as she spoke, soaking into the pillow.

Wilder held Ophelia's hand tenderly. "Don't worry, he must be fine. The fact that the police haven't found him yet is good news."

Indeed, it wasn't a dream.

Ophelia closed her eyes, waiting for the pain in her heart to subside before slowly sitting up. "Dad, is Finnegan still alive?"

"He's definitely alive," Wilder reassured her. "People won't just vanish into thin air."

"Mrs. Abbott." Landon knocked on the door of the ward.

Ophelia perked up. "Is there news?"

"You asked Mario to look into the case from ten years ago. He's retrieved the records and found something. It's true. Ten years ago, Deacon's parents were hit and killed by a car, which belonged to Mr. Abbott."
After boss's baby, she Escape
