Chapter 610 Danger Approaches

Karen's words made Raymond glance at her.

"Why are you concerned about these things today?" Raymond stared at Karen. "Who told you about Moonlight Gate?"

Raymond knew Karen's character well. She never cared about his work in the first place.

"I went to the bureau to find you and heard about it," Karen lied casually. "Just tell me, what happened to that criminal?" Karen acted spoiled and playful.

Tate, hearing Karen's probing, looked at her with some suspicion.

She didn't believe Karen cared about her.

Raymond said, "There are rules in the bureau prohibiting discussions about cases."

Raymond said, "There's a rule at the bureau that prohibits discussing case-related matters."

"I can't,." Raymond's tone grew colder. "If there's nothing else, go home. It's getting late."

Karen felt discontented in her heart. Raymond was harsh with her but gentle and sweet to Tate.

"Fine, I won't ask anymore." Karen changed the subject. "Raymond, could you at least introduce this lady to me?"

Now wasn't the best time to reveal Tate's identity. Karen had a loose tongue, and exposing Tate's identity could put her in danger.

"You don't need to know. If there's nothing else, go home," Raymond said, asking Karen to leave again.

Karen was infuriated. "Fine, I'll leave."

Karen huffed and walked away, filled with anger.

As she left the community, Karen called her mother, exaggerating the situation, "Mom, something big happened. Raymond has been seduced by a vixen. That woman doesn't look decent at all. She shamelessly moved into Raymond's house..."

Karen exaggerated and belittled Tate.

After eating, Raymond cleaned up the dishes. "Tate, you go rest. I'll clean up. I've been a bit busy lately, so I can only get takeout for you. When I have some free time tomorrow, I'll cook for you."

Tate took off her mask and said, "Thank you, Raymond. Your mask disguise is very well done. I couldn't even tell."

"It's quite simple," Tate said. "I don't know why, but I just made it. By the way, when will the doctor come?"

Tate was eager to regain her memory as she didn't know what unknown dangers lay ahead.

"Tomorrow afternoon. He's a highly respected doctor with ancestral acupuncture skills," Raymond said. "I've already told him about your situation. It shouldn't be a big problem."

"Okay."

Tate continued to work on making masks and some small self-defense weapons in his room.

Raymond cleaned up.

The next day, was Warmie's vaccination day. Ophelia and the nanny took Warmie out after breakfast.

Finnegan didn't go with them. Jude came over early to report on the company's affairs from the previous day, seeking recognition from Finnegan.

Ophelia, with the driver and nanny, arrived at the hospital with Warmie.

Many people came today for vaccinations, but Ophelia had made an appointment in advance, so it didn't take long.

Warmie was scared of the vaccination and cried a lot. Ophelia comforted her for a while.

After the shot, Warmie needed to be observed for half an hour. The nanny said, "Mrs. Abbott, I need to use the restroom."

"Okay, go ahead. I'll hold Warmie and rest in the lounge."

"Alright." The nanny went to the restroom.

Ophelia took Warmie to the lounge and called the driver to wait at the entrance.

The private hospital provided excellent service, with individual rooms for each lounge, ensuring privacy for nursing mothers and easing the occasional awkwardness of breastfeeding.

The lounge was filled with toys. Ophelia engaged in playtime with Warmie, using building blocks to distract her from the discomfort of the vaccination.

"Warmie, can you give me the round block? Which one is round?" Ophelia deliberately tested Warmie.

With delight, Warmie eagerly picked up the round block and handed it to Ophelia

Ophelia praised with surprise, "Wow, Warmie, you're amazing! You know the round shape."

Warmie's face lit up with joy upon receiving Ophelia's praise. She covered her mouth with her hands, smiling shyly. To earn more praise, Warmie handed another round block to Ophelia, calling out, "Mommy."

Ophelia was overjoyed. "Warmie, you're fantastic."

Just at that moment, a woman dressed as a nurse, wearing a mask, walked in.

Hearing footsteps, Ophelia instinctively turned around. Before she could figure out the situation, the woman injected something into her shoulder.
