Chapter 645 Earned by Skill
Caspian still couldn't figure it out. He had good looks and a solid family background, everything top-notch.
When it came to being a playboy, he had explained to Tate that it was all fake. He assured her he was a virgin.
Ophelia thought for a moment. She really didn't know what Tate didn't like about Caspian, so she casually said, "Maybe it's different life experiences. Don't forget what Tate used to do."
"I get it. Tate must think I'm too weak, not tough enough."
Finnegan and Ophelia were silent.
Indeed, people in love are always insecure and lack confidence in themselves.
Caspian seemed to have found a new direction and said, "Then I'll get a coach now to teach me fighting, Taekwondo, or something. I'll build some muscles. Tate must like muscular guys."
Ophelia felt that Tate probably wouldn't like that. From what she knew about Tate, a simple-minded, muscle-bound guy was definitely not her type.
"Caspian, do you really like Tate, or is it just because she's special? Once her uniqueness fades, will you still like her?"
Ophelia hit the nail on the head, "She has a criminal record from being in prison. Will your family accept that? Have you considered all this? If you haven't thought about these things and are just restless because you can't have her, I suggest you take a cold shower to clear your head."
Ophelia's words were blunt because, in her view, even if Caspian had a reputation for being a playboy, he wasn't like that at heart. But for someone as cold as Tate, if he approached her out of mere curiosity, Tate would be the one to get hurt in the end.
As a woman, Ophelia knew that men and women are different. Men, before they get what they want, feel like they can't live without it. Their longing and feelings grow deeper.
But once they get it, the sense of conquest fades, and they gradually lose interest.
Women, on the other hand, are reserved and deep in their love before they are won over. Once they commit to a man, their love becomes passionate and grows deeper.
Caspian was silent, not out of retreat but because he was seriously considering these issues.
"Ophelia, you're right. I was thinking too simply, but I'm not just acting on a whim. Time will prove it," Caspian said confidently.
Ophelia asked, "When was your first love?"
Caspian thought for a moment, "I don't think I've had one."
"Don't think?"
What kind of answer was that?
Caspian looked at Finnegan and said, "Finnegan can vouch for me. Those rumored girlfriends, I haven't even held hands with some of them. We were just acquaintances."
Ophelia looked at Finnegan, who said, "I don't know."
Caspian was speechless.
Ophelia said, "Studies show that men only fall in love once. Ninety-nine percent of men bury their love at eighteen or nineteen."
First love is intense. After that, it's tough to love that deeply again.
Caspian would be a hassle: "Ophelia, Finnegan met Lynn when he was about eighteen or nineteen."
Finnegan stayed quiet.
"Bad crowd."
Ophelia laughed, "You guys chat. I'm taking Warmie for a nap."
Ophelia left with Warmie, and Finnegan stood up and said to Caspian, "Go handle your stuff."
Caspian suddenly remembered something, "Finnegan, got enough groomsmen? Save a spot for me."
"Pay up and I'll save you a spot," Finnegan added, "Bring your own bridesmaid."
Ophelia didn't have many close female friends and had only asked Lynn to be a bridesmaid.
Caspian clicked his tongue, "Finnegan, you just said you weren't short on money, and now you're being so cheap."
"I need to earn some pocket money. The household finances are in Ophelia's hands." Finnegan patted Caspian's shoulder, "You'll get it when you get married."
Caspian was curious, "How much pocket money does Ophelia give you a month?"
Finnegan voiced, "Earn it yourself."
"What skills?"
Caspian didn't get an answer, and Finnegan naturally wouldn't share his secret to earning pocket money.
This secret wasn't for everyone.
It required stamina and endurance.
