Chapter 597 Tate is Exposed

Lloyd asked, "Finnegan, I heard your eye was harmed. Have they caught the person who did it? Do you know who it was?"

Finnegan replied calmly, "Someone from Moonlight Gate. The police are still looking for the person."

Knowing that Lloyd was probing, Finnegan answered truthfully, also to test Lloyd's reaction.

"Moonlight Gate?" Lloyd feigned surprise and confusion. "What is that? How did you offend them?"

Finnegan's lips curled slightly as he said nonchalantly, "No idea. It's a criminal organization. You're a businessman; it's normal that you don't know it."

"A criminal organization?" Lloyd sighed, "Finnegan, you really need to be careful."

"I am a blind man now. What can I do?" Finnegan said self-deprecatingly. "If they want my life, they can take it anytime."

"Mr. Abbott." John walked over. "Mr. Benedict is here."

Finnegan called Landon over, and he came just in time.

Finnegan said, "Let him in."

Soon, Landon walked in. He glanced at Lloyd, who was sitting opposite Finnegan, and then said to Finnegan, "Mr. Abbott, the interrogation of Niamh is complete. The evidence against her is substantial. She did not contest the charges this time. However, as you know, she is pregnant, so we have to postpone sentencing until after she gives birth.."

Niamh was essentially on death row; once the child was born, she would be executed immediately.

"Thank you, Mr. Benedict." Finnegan, still pretending to be blind, had perfected the art of faking it. "How is the investigation of Moonlight Gate going?"

At the mention of this, Lloyd took a casual sip of his coffee, but he was actually observing Finnegan and Landon's reactions closely. He wanted to know how much evidence the police had on Moonlight Gate.

Landon glanced at Lloyd again. Discussing the case in front of Lloyd, who was not involved, made him cautious.

Finnegan said, "Mr. Benedict, this is my uncle Lloyd. It's fine; you can speak freely."

Only then did Landon say, "Last time, you suggested checking the surveillance near where Deacon was silenced. We did find something. Two female assassins left together, and one of them matched Tate's physique and profile from the recordings, the bodyguard you recruited.."

Hearing the name 'Tate', Finnegan felt a moment of panic. He hadn't known that the police had found such a useful lead.

Lloyd's expression also changed slightly upon hearing that the police had identified Tate.

Finnegan wasn't really blind; he noticed Lloyd's reaction.

A murderous intent flashed in Lloyd's eyes. It seemed Moonlight Gate would want Tate dead. Anyone noticed by the police couldn't be allowed to live.

To Moonlight Gate, Tate was a ticking time bomb.

Finnegan had long known about Tate's actions and identity, but he had to feign surprise and said, "Tate? How could it be her? Mr. Benedict, are you sure?"

"Pretty sure," Landon said. "We've issued a warrant for Tate. Mr. Abbott, do you have any information on her?"

"When I was attacked, Tate resigned and said goodbye to my wife. I haven't seen her since, but just yesterday, there was news about Tate."

Finnegan couldn't conceal it. He was aware that if Tate were apprehended by the authorities, she would lose her worth to Moonlight Gate and could potentially perish in custody.

Moonlight Gate's power was not to be underestimated.

Seraphina had died in police custody, and Deacon had been silenced under police surveillance. If Tate were to be arrested, it would do more harm than good.

But now, Tate was with Caspian, and it couldn't be hidden.

Hearing there was news, Landon perked up, and Lloyd's expression grew more serious. He gripped his cup tighter.

Landon asked, "Where is Tate?"

Finnegan followed up with a question, "Mr. Benedict, you mentioned there was another individual. Did you manage to get a good look at them?"

After boss's baby, she Escape
