Chapter 310 Marrying Ricky
"Dovie, nothing could have happened tonight," Finnegan said with complexity.
Smart as Dovie, she immediately understood what he meant.
If Niamh hadn't gone to the guest room, none of this would have happened.
Rhodes was no longer in that room, so even if Ricky went, it would have been in vain.
No one knew about Rhodes being drugged tonight, nor the conflict between Rhodes and Delaney.
Niamh went and made things worse.
"Alright, I understand." Dovie felt uneasy; she thought Niamh unfairly bore the brunt of it. "Finnegan, if it were you, how would you handle this tonight?"
In the past, whenever Niamh caused trouble, Dovie was always the one cleaning up the mess from behind. This time, she wanted to know Finnegan's opinion.
Finnegan was unwilling to engage, stating, "Dovie, there are no 'ifs' in this world."
He refused straight forwardly.
That's Finnegan; no one could force him to do anything.
Dovie actually understood everything. 'Ophelia probably hadn't slept, but Finnegan didn't want Ophelia to get involved in this matter.' She thought.
Dovie had no intention of blaming Ophelia, either. Niamh initiated tonight's incident, and Ricky was the main culprit; she should seek compensation from his family.
"Alright, Finnegan, I won't disturb your rest." Dovie tactfully hung up the phone.
Seeing the call end, Ophelia felt a bit complicated. "I hope Dovie isn't mad at me. She's so smart; she must know I didn't sleep."
"This has nothing to do with you tonight. If anyone dares to blame you, I won't spare them." Finnegan was Ophelia's biggest support. "Dovie shouldn't have gone to find Wade. He won't admit it, and it's useless to go. If she hadn't gone to Ricky's house earlier, Ricky probably would have left New York."
Ophelia sighed, saying, "It's difficult to resolve this matter tonight."
On the other side, Dovie was about to find Ricky when Natalie called, stopping Dovie and asking her to come back first.

Dovie returned home and asked Natalie, "Natalie, why did you ask me to come back?"
Natalie said, "I also know about tonight's incident. Since it happened, let the two of them get married."

"No." Dovie waved her hand, saying, "We couldn’t let Niamh marry Ricky? This is absurd."
"Who said so? Let Niamh marry Ricky; let Ricky become a son-in-law and live in this house."
Natalie made up her mind, saying, "Before, we'd been looking for a match for Niamh, but now, with this incident, it's even harder for Niamh to marry. Let Ricky become a son-in-law, which could make Niamh behave. Didn't you see the essence of what happened tonight? Niamh is also responsible for that and this is the price she has to pay."
In Natalie's view, as Ricky had no ability and was not favored in the family, he was the most controllable one.

Dovie couldn't believe it. "How can you say such things?"
"Do you think that as Niamh is your daughter so I don't care for her, deliberately harming her?" Natalie urged, "I'm doing this for her own good. Think about how much trouble Niamh has caused. Marriage is the best way for her to grow. Rhodes and Delaney's conflict—what's she doing in the middle of it? If she didn't join in, this wouldn't have happened."
