Chapter 600 Tate Gets Arrested
Tate didn't recognize Landon. Seeing the police here, he thought something had happened to Caspian and quietly asked, "Is there trouble at the company?"
Caspian remained silent.
Watching Tate completely unaware of anything, Caspian felt deeply unsettled. Even more so because he couldn't protect Tate.
Caspian said, "It's you who's in trouble."
"Me?" Tate looked puzzled.
Landon, upright and holding a warrant, said, "Tate, you're suspected of killing Deacon. Come with us."
"Murder?" Tate was even more confused. "When did I kill someone? Who is Deacon?"
"Tate, don't play innocent. You have the right to remain silent now," Landon said, pulling out handcuffs and cuffing Tate directly. "Let's go."
Tate looked at Caspian. "What's going on?"
"I'm not sure either." Caspian quickly said to Landon, "I'll go with you. There must be some misunderstanding."
At the police station, Tate was brought into the interrogation room.
Landon hadn't started the interrogation yet. Caspian stopped him and explained Tate's situation.
"Mr. Benedict, even if you go to ask her, you won't get anything," Caspian said. "When I found her, she had lost all her memories. She's not faking it, I vouch for her character."
"Doesn't remember?" Landon was surprised and frowned. This news was like a bucket of cold water, dampening the joy of capturing a Moonlight Gate assassin.
Caspian said, "Mr. Benedict, you saw it yourself. Tate didn't recognize you. Otherwise, why would she walk right into this? I believe Tate didn't kill Deacon. You should investigate further."
"We have evidence that Tate is a high-ranking assassin for Moonlight Gate. Whether she killed Deacon or not, she's responsible for multiple deaths," Landon said. "Mr. Hawthorne, please don't obstruct our investigation."
With that, Landon headed to interrogate Tate. Just as he reached the door of the interrogation room, Mario hurried over with a man.
Landon recognized the man and showed respect in his eyes, greeting him proactively, "Raymond, what brings you here?"
The man's name was Raymond Stewart, the counter-terrorism team leader, with chiseled features, a stern look, and a strong presence.
He was also the eldest son of the Stewart family and Karen's brother. The Stewart family had four siblings, with Karen being the youngest. Raymond didn't go into business because of an incident involving his younger sister, Sandra Stewart, when they were kids.
He had been tracking Moonlight Gate organization relentlessly, solely to find Sandra.
Raymond said, "You captured a female Moonlight Gate assassin, right? Where is she? Take me to her."
Landon said, "Raymond, she's in the interrogation room. We haven't had a chance to question her yet."
Raymond strode towards the interrogation room.
Caspian also came out of the office, heading towards the interrogation room.
Seeing Raymond and Landon with Mario, Caspian thought, 'This is bad. Raymond's involvement means Tate's chances are slim.'

Tate sat calmly in the chair, not panicking, just confused, not knowing what was happening. She wondered, 'did I really kill someone?'
As she was thinking, the door to the interrogation room opened from the outside. Leading the way was Raymond.
Raymond's first impression on Tate was serious, cold, yet inexplicably familiar.
Raymond first scrutinized Tate before walking up to her, looking down at her.
Tate met his gaze, also scrutinizing, with a hint of innocence and simplicity.
Because of her amnesia, Tate didn't need to hide anything, making her gaze more pure.
Tate's gaze momentarily caught Raymond off guard, stirring up a long-buried memory.
When Sandra had made mistakes as a child, she had looked at him with the same innocent eyes. Each time, he had shielded her.
Tate spoke up, "You're saying I killed someone. Is that true?"
Raymond snapped back to reality. Facing the suspect's question, his expression darkened. "Tate, right? Moonlight Gate assassins are divided into four levels. You are the highest level assassin. How many people are in Moonlight Gate? Where is the headquarters? Do you know someone named Sandra Stewart?"
Raymond's younger sister was named Sandra Stewart.
