Chapter 221 The Bustling Sakura Restaurant
Magnus had been burdened with worries lately and looked tired. When facing Ophe, he forced a smile and said, "I've been busy with a lot of things. Sorry, too late."
"The ribbon-cutting ceremony is already over," Ophe replied with a smile. "Go upstairs to the third floor and rest for a bit."
Today, the third floor was reserved for VIPs, although it was only temporarily arranged as a VIP area. Ophe hadn't anticipated so many influential figures attending the event, so she had made the final change for security purposes.
"Alright, Ophe. I wish you prosperous business," Magnus said as he presented her with the gift.
On such a joyous occasion, Magnus didn't mention anything about the house matter.
With an increasing number of guests, the waitstaff became busier. As the manager, Addison was orderly in directing them and showed great enthusiasm.
Suddenly, Dovie approached Ophe and said, "Ophe, you have a good eye. Addison has been with the company for ten years, but I never realized she had such leadership abilities."
Ophe felt particularly embarrassed. "Dovie, I'm sorry."
"It's alright. Addison didn't have a chance to showcase her talents at the office. Under your leadership, she can truly shine," Dovie said with an open mind. "Besides one's abilities, success also depends on the platform they're in. Addison isn't suited for an office environment."
In the busy Sakura Restaurant, Addison had a confident smile on her face. Even if some situations happened, she handled them promptly.
Ophe was quite surprised by her adaptability.
When Ophe had recruited Addison, it was only to repay her a favor, but she hadn't expected to gain this much.
Addison greeted Dovie when she saw her. "Hello, Chairman Dovie."
Addison was somewhat reserved. She was always like this in the company, afraid of offending anyone.
Dovie praised her, "Addison, you're doing great here."
These words greatly encouraged Addison.
Addison bowed deeply and expressed her gratitude, "Thank you, Dovie."
Ophe was talking to Dovie on the first floor, and Jude, by the window on the third floor, could see the scene downstairs. He was on the phone with Celia.
Celia was particularly angry when she found out that Jude had taken Old Abbott to the Japanese restaurant. She scolded Jude over the phone, "Jude, is there still a place for me in your eyes? You took Old Abbott to show your support again. You both are truly bewitched."
Jude moved his phone away and didn't pay attention to Celia's complaints. He happily greeted Dovie on the first floor.
Dovie saw Jude and nodded and smiled in response.
Seeing Dovie's response, Jude said to Celia on the phone, "It's too noisy here. I can't hear you clearly. The signal is bad. I'll hang up first."
Jude hung up the phone and descended the staircase to find Dovie.
After all, they had known each other since childhood and almost ended up together. Meeting on such an occasion, they had to chat for sure.
Finnegan was greeting Martin and the others. There was actually no need for Ophe to be busy in the restaurant since she was the boss. She just needed to manage.
Atticus was working as a waiter in the restaurant today while Linda was busy at the front desk.
These two came spontaneously, and it wasn't ruled out that they wanted to take a break and join in the excitement at Ophe's place.
Ophe looked around the restaurant but didn't disturb Finnegan and the others in their private room. Instead, she went to the neighboring room to accompany Old Abbott.
Old Abbott also murmured that she wanted to eat sushi. The old lady was trendy and wanted to enhance the beauty of her photos. Ophe said, "Then, have a light dish. Granny, you're old now, so you can't eat heavy food."
"No, I want it." Old Abbott acted like a child and coquettishly said, "I like heavy food a lot."
Finally, Ophe realized where Finnegan inherited his coquettishness from. It was the intergenerational inheritance.
Ophe couldn't resist her coquettishness and asked the waiter to bring some heavy food.
Old Abbott had a good appetite and ordered many dishes. "The Fish Milt, Fermented Soybeans, and Shishamo."
She really knew the delicious food.
The old lady couldn't finish everything by herself, so Jude and Dovie joined her in the private room and accompanied her.
"Ophe, someone is looking for you outside," Addison shouted.
In the restaurant, Addison referred to Ophe as the leader.
"Who is it?" Ophe curiously walked out and saw Seraphina in the lobby on the ground floor.
