Chapter 312 Like Royal Descendants

The Parks Family spent money to buy trendings data, so when people naturally opened their phones, they all saw the news that Niamh and Ricky would be engaged by the end of the month on the 30th.
Ophelia woke up and went downstairs to have breakfast. Out of habit, she opened her phone and was shocked when she saw the news.
She thought she might have read it wrong or that it was someone with the same name and surname, so she clicked to see the content.
After a moment, Ophelia looked surprised at Finnegan, who was elegantly dining beside her, and said, "Niamh and Ricky are getting engaged?"
Finnegan had seen the news early and said, "I saw it. This doesn't seem like Dovie's style of doing things. When I first saw it, I was also surprised."
'With Dovie's style, she would definitely cause trouble for Ricky, so how could they be getting engaged?' Finnegan thought.
Finnegan didn't know where the problem lay, nor did he want to know.
Ophelia said, "It's really surprising. With Niamh's personality, she definitely wouldn't agree."
"Now that it's been announced, she had no choice." Finnegan peeled an egg for Ophelia. "This is the egg my mom sent over. It's nutritious."
"Your mom sent it?" Ophelia was surprised. "She doesn't like me. Is she not going to be mad that you're giving it to me to eat?"
Finnegan chuckled. "This is for you. As my mom has been so well-behaved lately, don't you know why?"
Ophelia said, "I know, it's because of the child in my belly. It seemed that she really wanted a grandson. So, if I have a daughter, will she get angry and make me spit out all the eggs I've eaten? I've seen that on TV. Mothers-in-law got angry when their daughters-in-law gave birth to a daughter, and they even ended up in the hospital ."
Finnegan laughed and gently tapped her nose affectionately. "If you have a daughter, she'll be thrilled. My mom wants a granddaughter. My dad told me that if you have a daughter, my mom will accept you."
Ophelia was surprised to ask, "Is there a grandmother who likes granddaughters? What if I have a son?"
Many people lamented being born in the wrong era. When it was popular to have sons, they ended up with daughters, and now that it was trendy to have daughters, they ended up with sons.
She had encountered a mother-in-law who liked granddaughters.
"It doesn't matter what gender the child is. Don't worry about what my mom says." Finnegan said, "My mom didn't have a daughter either. It's up to me to determine the child's gender. If my mom has any opinions, she can come to me."
Ophelia smiled and saw Lynn running back, waving to her. "Lynn, come over and have some eggs. They're from Finnegan's mom."
As Celia didn't acknowledge her as a daughter-in-law, she wouldn't change her mind to call her mother.
'One must have integrity in life.' Ophelia thought.
Lynn sat down, while Finnegan got up. "You two eat; I'm off to the company."
Finnegan kissed Ophelia on her forehead by habit.
Finnegan had never looked Lynn in the eye since she moved in. Wherever Lynn was, he would leave.
He just assumed Lynn would stay here for three months.
Atticus happens to be picking up Finnegan with the driver. Ophelia looked over and saw that Finnegan had really left. She told Lynn, "You eat the eggs. Don't mind him."
"He's the one not minding me." Lynn corrected and took an egg without ceremony. "I've found a studio for work and made it renovated. Once it's done, I'll move out. Although Finnegan doesn't want to see me, I'm staying here for the full three months."
Ophelia said, "Stay as you please; I agree."
The two exchanged smiles. Due to shared interests and compatible personalities, the initially antagonistic pair had become good friends.
They chatted and laughed over breakfast. Lynn offered ideas for the renovation of Ophelia's Japanese restaurant, and Ophelia provided input for Lynn's studio. They exchanged opinions.
"You could set up a stage in the restaurant for performances and have people entertain while they dine. It's quite nice and adds a unique touch," Lynn suggested.
Ophelia responded excitedly, "That's a great idea. But the performances shouldn't be superficial; they should have cultural depth. Since you study latin dance, you must know many dancers. Help me with some introductions; let's plan this out."
"No problem." Lynn replied.
As they were talking, Rhodes arrived with gifts.
Rhodes had come to thank Ophelia. Seeing Ophelia without makeup, Rhodes paused. "You really look like her, Ophelia. You resemble a royal descendant I met in France before."
Rhodes had thought that before, especially when Ophelia was without makeup.
After boss's baby, she Escape
