Chapter 233 Warning
Ophe felt a headache. Before confronting Lynn, she thought of her as a pitiful but outstanding individual.
But now, she demanded so confidently that Ophe let go of Finnegan. She had a mistress-like mindset.
Ophe rubbed her temples. "Miss Lynn, I think you should go back. Don't come asking such fruitless questions. We are all adults, not teenagers. At least have some dignity."
"Ophe, you don't actually love him." Lynn's emotions were getting out of control, and Ophe's calmness provoked her.
How could Ophe be so composed?
"Lynn, let's leave." He pulled her and said, "It seems like you've had a bit too many drinks."
Caspian forcibly took away Lynn.
Ophe sat in her seat without reacting and watched as Caspian pulled Lynn away.
Lynn seemed somewhat unwilling to argue with Caspian at the restaurant's entrance, but in the end, she was still pulled away by him.
Addison sensed something was wrong and quickly walked toward Ophe. "Ophe, did that customer cause trouble just now?"
"Have someone clear the table," Ophe replied without saying much.
Addison understood and didn't ask further, instructing the waiter to clear the table with a gesture.
A few minutes after Finnegan received the message from Caspian, he noticed it and called back promptly.
Caspian was driving Lynn back to the hotel when he saw Finnegan's incoming call and immediately answered, "Finnegan."
"What's the situation now?" Finnegan was urgent, with a hint of coldness. "Is Ophe okay? She's pregnant, don't let Lynn hurt her."
"Ophe is pregnant? When did that happen?" Caspian was surprised and also happy for Finnegan. "You're going to be a father."
Caspian's words broke Lynn's heart, and she looked at him with a pale face.
Was Ophe pregnant?
No wonder she appeared so confident earlier.
"Are you not at the Sakura Restaurant right now?" Finnegan heard the sound of a car horn through the phone.
"I'm taking Lynn back to the hotel right now. Ophe is still at the restaurant," Caspian said. "Ophe should be fine, right?"
Although there were no external injuries, he didn't know about internal injuries.
'After Lynn caused trouble, Ophe must have felt uncomfortable to some extent.' He considered.
"Okay." Finnegan didn't ask any further and ended the call.
Caspian glanced at Lynn in the passenger seat and wanted to say something, but he saw her crying. The words on the tip of his tongue couldn't be said anymore.
Caspian pulled out some tissues and handed them to Lynn. "The thing about fate is strange. In the future, you will meet someone better."
Lynn wiped away her tears and leaned her head against the car window. "Caspian, the meaning of my effort was to stand by his side."
Caspian was speechless. "You've been away for so many years. Finnegan can't stay single forever. He's married now, and you know Ophe is pregnant. If you interfere, won't it be immoral?"
Lynn didn't say anything and shed tears continually.
Caspian sighed and didn't say anything more.
The car arrived at the hotel entrance.
When Caspian was thinking of escorting Lynn upstairs, he saw Finnegan driving toward them.
Finnegan quickly parked the car, got out, and walked over with a cold and stern expression. His imposing demeanor made them feel a sense of pressure.
"Lynn, get out of the car. We need to talk." Finnegan said coldly.
Lynn felt a surge of joy in her heart when Finnegan approached. But upon seeing his icy expression, she became extremely cautious.
Caspian worried that Finnegan might become violent, so he interjected.
Finnegan interrupted him coldly, "Mind your own business. You have no role here."
"Alright, then I'll leave first," Caspian said as he started the car and drove away quickly.
Lynn got out of the car, and Caspian promptly left.
Lynn was a bit afraid of Finnegan.
Finnegan's voice turned cold. "You have no right to cause trouble with my wife. I hope there won't be another time."
