Chapter 263 Excessive Filial Piety
Finnegan realized what Ophe wanted to do and quickly stopped her. "Ophe, there's no need."
He didn't need Ophe to be so humble for him. He felt embarrassed himself.
Despite being a billionaire and not lacking in women, Finnegan knew little about these things and still had a hint of innocence.
There were certain "lifestyles" that he was conservative about and hadn't tried.
Ophe smiled and said, "It's okay, I'm willing to do it for you."
Finnegan sat up, his eyes full of affection as he caressed Ophe's face and held her in his arms. "Ophe, knowing your intentions are enough for me."
Ophe no longer insisted and smiled. "I thought you would like it. I don't expect that my husband is still a pure man."
At first, Ophe was also trying to figure out how to handle Finnegan. She was worried that she couldn't bring novelty to their intimate life, so she even searched online for ways to please a man.
When you truly loved someone, you would do everything to make them happy.
Finnegan pinched her face and said, "After our little lucky star is born, I'll take good care of you."
Ophe laughed heartily and acted like a coy. She beckoned with her finger to tease him.
Finnegan pretended to bite her finger, and Ophe pulled her hand back and scolded playfully, "Finnegan, you're like a dog."
The two of them frolicked in the room, which made Lynn, who was eavesdropping at the door, feel uncomfortable.
Lynn couldn't bear it and knocked on the door. She intentionally interrupted their intimate moment.
"Finnegan, I've made some late-night snacks. Do you want to eat?"
Finnegan and Ophe heard the voice and glanced at each other. Ophe wrapped herself in a blanket. "You go deal with it yourself; I'll go to sleep first."
Finnegan looked at Ophe, who was pretending to sleep, and asked, "You're not worried that I'll do something with her? In the middle of the night, you are kicking your husband out?"
Ophe remained silent.
Finnegan didn't go out either. He pretended not to hear the sound outside and held Ophe in his arms to sleep.
He wasn't stupid. If he went out and met Lynn, he would surely make his wife unhappy.
Lynn knocked on the door twice from outside. Hearing no response or anyone opening the door, she understood and carried the cooked late-night snacks downstairs.
Lynn cooked waffles, and when she went downstairs, she encountered Magnus smoking in the living room. She thought it would be a waste not to eat, so she handed the waffles to Magnus.
"You eat."
Lynn left the words and left.
Magnus didn't react in time, and she was already gone.
Looking at the waffles, Magnus turned to glance at Lynn heading back to the room. At his lowest moment, someone offered him some food, and it made him feel a bit different.
Magnus extinguished the cigarette and started eating waffles.
Due to the online incident, Magnus had lost his appetite and hadn't eaten all day. Now, with the warm waffles in his stomach, he felt a sense of rejuvenation.
The next day, Lynn had the habit of going for a morning run. When she returned, she met Magnus at the door of the living room.
Magnus said to her, "Thank you for the waffles last night."
Lynn replied straightforwardly, "No need. It would have been a waste if you didn't eat it."
Lynn was about to pass him and go back to her room to shower. She couldn't help but gossip when she thought about the trends online. "With your dad defaming you online like that, do you plan to just hide here and do nothing?"
Lynn didn't believe the online rumors, not because she trusted Magnus's character. In fact, she wasn't familiar with Magnus, so why could she know what he was like?
Lynn believed in Finnegan.
If Finnegan could bring someone home, then that person's character must be fine.
Lynn's words caught Magnus off guard, and it felt as if his heart was surrounded by warmth, just like the sun.
Lynn was the first stranger to believe in him.
Magnus was a bit excited and momentarily forgot to reply.
Lynn said, "Excessive filial piety." Then, she went into the room to take a shower.
Ophe, who was at the top of the stairs on the second floor, witnessed the scene of Magnus and Lynn chatting in the living room.
Surprisingly, Magnus and Lynn looked harmonious and well-matched when they stood together.
