Chapter 449 Tragically Deceased

Magnus was too excited. 'Didn’t Dovie die of illness? Could the real cause of death be poisoning? But why wasn't it found in the autopsy report?' he thought.

Just as Magnus was about to leave, he bumped into Deacon's two bodyguards as soon as he turned around.

The two bodyguards stared at Magnus fiercely, advancing step by step. Magnus retreated step by step, his heels hitting the steps, causing him to fall.

Rex and Niamh heard the commotion and walked over. When they saw Magnus, Niamh sneered, "What an ignorant person, just like Seraphina and Sybil, always eager to do things that lead to their own demise."

Magnus, Ophelia, and Seraphina grew up together and had a good relationship. Niamh naturally knew them, but this was the first real encounter.

Magnus looked towards the front of the garden and found that Deacon was nowhere to be seen.

Magnus would be dealt with by these people. Deacon wouldn't show himself.

"Seraphina was indeed killed by you all," Magnus said indignantly, "You also killed Dovie, Niamh. You are simply insane. Why did you do this? What did Seraphina do to offend you? Dovie raised you for ten years. Even if she wasn't your biological mother, there was no need to be so ruthless."

Magnus was surrounded and couldn't escape.

Niamh found it amusing. "You are a lawyer, but why are you so naive? I really don't know how you've survived until today, being as foolish as Seraphina. It's no wonder you both came from the same orphanage. Once Seraphina was no longer useful, of course, she had to die. Rest assured, you won't live to see the next year."

Upon hearing this, Magnus knew that his situation was dire.

"How did you all kill Seraphina?" Magnus pointed at Rex. "Was it you who poisoned her? Was it in the coffee? You knew that when Seraphina was caught, she would definitely reveal somethings so you killed her. In the beginning, the one who truly wanted to harm Ophelia was also you."

Rex stepped forward. "You’re right, the poison was in the coffee. But you know it too late. Remember, in your next life, mind your own business if you want to live longer."

At the hospital, Ophelia had a dream where Magnus was covered in blood, which startled her awake.

"Ophe, another nightmare?" Finnegan was also woken by Ophelia.

Ophelia looked outside and saw that it was dawn.

"Honey, I had a really bad dream just now. Every time I dream, something bad happens." Ophelia's heart raced with anxiety. "Where's my phone? I need to call Magnus. He's back in New York this time, very determined and avoiding me."

Finnegan handed Ophelia her phone, "What did you dream about just now?"

"I dreamt that something happened to Magnus. There was a lot of blood." Ophelia found Magnus' number and dialed it, but it was switched off.

"Honey, Magnus must be in trouble."

As Ophelia grew more anxious, she started feeling pain in her stomach. "Honey, my stomach hurts."

"Ophe, don't worry. I'll call the doctor." Finnegan was a bit confused and pressed the call button.

Soon, the doctor arrived, and it turned out that Ophelia was about to give birth.

And at that moment, the police, Landon, called. "Ophelia, Magnus is in trouble."

The sudden bad news made Ophelia shiver.

Seeing her distress, Finnegan took the phone and went aside. "Landon, tell me everything. My wife is about to give birth."

Landon said over the phone, "Magnus fell from the rooftop of the CC Club last night. After two hours of rescue efforts, he passed away."

Ophelia was extremely worried in her hospital bed. While the doctor monitored her, she anxiously asked, "Finnegan, what else did Landon say? He mentioned Magnus was in trouble. What exactly happened? Tell me."

Finnegan looked at the anxious Ophelia, unable to bring himself to tell her about Magnus' situation.

He hung up the phone and said to Ophelia, "You go into the delivery room first. Don't worry. Stay calm."

"What happened to Magnus? Tell me!" Ophelia was agitated. "If you don't tell me, how can I be at ease? Could you give me the phone? I'll call Landon myself."

Ophelia was insistent, and Finnegan was torn, worried that the news about Magnus would be too much for her. After a moment of hesitation, he said, "Magnus fell from the rooftop of the CC Club last night, the rescue was unsuccessful, and he tragically passed away."

This news made Ophelia feel overwhelmed. One by one, those who grew up with her were leaving her.

Tears streamed down Ophelia's face instantly as her water broke.

Choking back tears, she said, "Finnegan, go and see him. Go see him for me."
