Chapter 296 The Baby Can't Be Born
The chicken soup was stored in a thermos, and Magnus had already finished a bowl.
Ophelia glanced and said, "No need.I just ate."
"Then you chat. I'll go do some laundry," Seraphina said as she held the clothes Magnus had just changed out of.
The hospital had a laundry room for the family members of inpatients to use.
After the person left, Ophelia asked Magnus, "Did you inform her?"
"She called me just , so I told her." Magnus said, "She took a week off."
"That's good to hear. I would feel relieved if she could take care of you here," Ophelia said. "Seraphina has indeed undergone quite a significant change."
Since Magnus's accident, Seraphina has been helping out. She has been at the forefront, completely changing her previously timid and fearful nature.
As they were chatting, Ophelia heard a familiar voice outside, saying, "Miss, is Magnus in this ward, the one in front?"
This is Riley's voice.

"Serenity, I'm fine." Magnus said, not looking at Riley, smiling at Serenity instead. He only responded to Serenity.
Serenity reached out her hand to touch Magnus's head, which was wrapped in bandages. Tears streaming down her face, she said, "Magnus, I misses you. Why don't you want me anymore?"
Since Magnus kicked Tobias and his family out, he even didn't dare to see Serenity, in case of being soft-hearted again.
Looking at this young face and listening to these heart-wrenching words, Magnus felt a pang in his nose.
Ophelia felt the atmosphere was unusual. Serenity's one sentence could make Magnus' previous efforts all in vain.
Magnus could be ruthless towards Tobias and his associates, but Serenity was so lovely and pitiful, making it hard for anyone to bear.
As expected, Magnus patted Serenity on the head and said, "I have been busy lately. How could I not want you? I like you the most."
Ophelia, sighing, gave Magnus a wink meaning that she would leave now; otherwise, she would be infuriated as she couldn't stand Magnus's soft-heartedness, yet she also felt sorry for Serenity.
Magnus actually understood Ophelia's thoughts. But when he looked at the obedient and sensible Serenity, how could he be heartless?

Magnus knew what Riley meant and said directly, "Mom, I can take care of you and Serenity, but Jett and Tobias, I won't handle. If you want to say more, then you should go back to your hometown.
