Chapter 612 Going Home

Susan used to be the head of the Abbott family, well-versed in both the underworld and the legitimate world.

She knew about the Moonlight Gate of course.

Susan, having experienced many things, quickly understood what Finnegan meant.

Recalling Lloyd's visit yesterday, Susan said, "Finnegan, don't worry, I'll call Lloyd."

Susan called Lloyd, but the number was already disconnected.

Hearing the mechanical voice on the phone, both of their hearts sank.

Susan then understood. "So, Lloyd has never let go of his hatred. He came back with a purpose."

Finnegan asked, "Susan, tell me, what deep grudge does Lloyd have against the Abbott family?"

"I mentioned this to Ophelia. Lloyd is not my biological son. He always mistakenly believed that I reported his father, which led to his parents' deaths," Susan said. "Actually, Lloyd is from the enemy country Rivonia. His biological father was a spy for Rivonia back then."

"Where exactly in Rivonia is Lloyd's biological father from? Where is his hometown?" Finnegan said, "If he leaves Yorkhaven, he will definitely visit his hometown."

"Let me see." Susan tapped her head. As the memory was too distant, she couldn't recall clearly.

Susan then noticed. "Finnegan, your eyes are healed?"

"They've been healed for a while. To guard against Lloyd, I pretended to be blind. The car bombing back then, the ones who wanted me dead were from Moonlight Gate." Finnegan's voice was cold. "Despite all precautions, I still didn't foresee Lloyd targeting Warmie."

The mere thought of Warmie in Lloyd's clutches had Finnegan on edge.

Susan grasped the gravity of the situation and took responsibility, saying, "Finnegan, this is all on me."

"I don't blame you. This was all within my plan. Tate's move disrupted the plan, and it should have also disrupted Lloyd's plan, which forced him to leave Yorkhaven early," Finnegan said in a deep voice. "Before this, Lloyd's goal was to destroy the Abbott family. Now, having only achieved half of his goal, he must have encountered a change that forced him to alter his plan."

Tate was that "change".

"I remember now, it's in Riway Village," Susan said. "I recall Lloyd's mother mentioning that their old house was in Riway Village. After all these years, I don't know if the village still exists."

"No matter what, I have to go there," Finnegan said. "Susan, keep this from Jude and Celia for now."

"I understand." Susan advised, "Finnegan, be careful. The power of Moonlight Gate should not be underestimated."

Finnegan nodded and then left.

The root of Lloyd's hatred lay with Susan, and only she could untie this knot.

On the other side, Lloyd had already left Yorkhaven and was on a plane to Rivonia.

Leaving Yorkhaven was not difficult for him.

Lloyd left some people in Yorkhaven to continue searching for Tate.

Two groups had already gone to the prison to investigate, but both returned empty-handed.

Lloyd hadn't completely dismissed the possibility that Tate might still be in Yorkhaven.

Aria was one of the people left behind, while only Anthony followed Lloyd out of Yorkhaven.

On the plane, Warmie remained composed, neither shedding tears nor causing a fuss, attending to her meals and drinks without protest. Lloyd cradled her, engaging in playful interactions.

Warmie giggled, which greatly pleased Lloyd. "It seems you agree. From now on, you'll be a Rivonia citizen, taking my last name Nguyen. You'll be Warmie Nguyen, okay?"

Warmie spat, waving her hands and feet.

After playing with Warmie for a while, Lloyd placed her in a nearby crib. "Warmie, play by yourself. We'll be home soon. It's my first time going home too. Thanks to Susan, I finally know where my hometown is."

After boss's baby, she Escape
