Chapter 229 Getting Closer
To accompany Ophe to check-up, Finnegan rearranged his morning schedule to the afternoon.
Finnegan always wanted to attend all of Ophe's check-ups.
With him by her side, Ophe felt at ease. "What time should we go tomorrow? Let's set an alarm. I'm worried I won't wake up."
"No rush. Sleep until you naturally wake up." Finnegan kissed her forehead and said, "I'll go take a shower; you go ahead and sleep."
"Okay." Ophe didn't notice anything unusual about Finnegan.
As Finnegan went to shower, Ophe couldn't fall asleep. She played with her phone and received a notification about Lynn returning to participate in a variety show.
It was a promotional message from the program aimed at attracting attention.
Ophe clicked on it and read Lynn's profile, as well as watched a beautiful solo dance video that showcased her brilliance. It deeply moved Ophe.
Lynn wore a dance costume and looked ethereal, not like an ordinary person. With every move accompanying the music, each frame was particularly stunning. After watching, it left a lasting impression and stirred up enthusiasm, making people envious.
This was a true dancer, and Lynn's dance was considered the pinnacle of Latin dance; it was incredibly beautiful.
It was astonishingly breathtaking and emotionally moving.
Ophe didn't know that Lynn was the same person in the video as Finnegan's ex. She just assumed it was a coincidence that they had the same name.
When Ophe heard Finnegan come out of the bathroom, she turned off her phone and didn't mention what she had just seen. Normally, she would have pulled him to watch the beautiful woman together, appreciate and share.
But because the person in the video was named Lynn, she was worried that Finnegan might think too much about it; after all, he had an ex-girlfriend with the same name. So, she wisely chose not to tell him.
As Ophe lay down to sleep, Finnegan changed into his pajamas, turned off the lights, pulled back the covers, and habitually embraced her.
The next day, Ophe woke up after nine o'clock. By the time they finished the check-up at the hospital, it was already noon.
Finnegan took Ophe back home, but she wanted to stop by the Sakura Restaurant.
"It's about time, anyways; we might as well go to the Sakura Restaurant and see how the business is today."
"You just want to eat sushi." Finnegan chuckled. "Do you think I don't know what you're thinking?"
"I just want to take a look," Ophe denied, shaking Finnegan's hand playfully. "Let's go to there."
"Alright," Finnegan reminded her. "Don't eat too much. The restaurant is always crowded. Make sure to stay safe."
"Yes, I'll keep that in mind."
As long as Ophe went to the restaurant, she was willing to agree to anything.
Finnegan couldn't accompany Ophe all the time, so he dropped her off at the restaurant, had a meal with her, and then went to the office.
As soon as Finnegan left, Ophe bought an ice cream and started eating.
As a pregnant woman with internal heat and sensitivity to heat, she often craved ice cream.
Addison commented when she saw, "Ophe, is it safe for the baby if you eat ice cream?"
"I asked the doctor, and as long as I eat in moderation, it's not a problem. I'll only have one," Ophe assured, being a sensible person.
While Ophe enjoyed her ice cream, a customer entered the shop, catching the attention of many other customers.
Ophe subconsciously looked over and was stunned. She blurted out, "Lynn."
Having seen her in videos before, Ophe naturally recognized her.
Although Lynn appeared slightly less stunning in person compared to the videos, she was still exceptionally beautiful.
When Lynn danced, she wore dance costumes and exquisite makeup. However, in her daily life, Lynn liked to wear long dresses with minimal makeup, giving off an elegant and ethereal vibe, though slightly less stunning.
Addison asked, "Ophe, do you know her?"
"I've seen her online. She's a Latin dancer who recently returned to the country, and she's really talented," Ophe said. "I've watched her dance videos. They were very impressive."
Ophe was surprised to see Lynn at the restaurant.
A beauty like her could attract many customers.
When Lynn entered, the waiter immediately went to serve her. Since the private rooms were all occupied, Lynn had to sit in the main dining area.
Lynn found a seat by the window and ordered her food but didn't eat much. She frequently called the waiter, asking for a towel or water.
Ophe was in a private room on the second floor, where she could see the scene below through the window. Of course, she couldn't help but take a few more glances at a celebrity like Lynn.
Lynn stayed at the restaurant for almost an hour before leaving.
In the following days, Lynn continued to visit the restaurant, sitting in the same spot and ordering the same dishes but eating very little.
After observing her for a few days, Ophe found it strange that she had come to a restaurant alone and only ate sushi.
