Chapter 259 Crisis Averted

Riley was terrified, holding Serenity tightly in her arms to protect her.

Meanwhile, Seraphina witnessed Tobias attacking Ophe. A wave of joy surged through her, and she wished Tobias would smash into Ophe's belly.

However, at that moment, Ophe dodged the strike.

She reacted quickly, and Tobias's chair ended up hitting nothing but air.

Ophe was very nervous. She was not afraid to fight head-on if she wasn't pregnant.

Finnegan led a group of people who suddenly rushed in from outside when Tobias was about to strike Ophe again.

Finnegan quickly went to Ophe and shielded her. "Ophe, are you alright?"

Ophe shook her head. "I'm fine."

The bodyguards behind Finnegan swiftly subdued Tobias and pinned him down.

Tobias was frightened by this display and deliberately shouted, "Help!"

"Be quiet." The bodyguards threatened Tobias.

Linda also arrived.

Linda brought people and rushed over when she received the call. At the entrance, they coincidentally met Finnegan, who was returning from City A, so they came together.

Seraphina was down casted when she saw Finnegan arrive in time. If Finnegan had been a little late, her plan would have succeeded.

Seeing Finnegan's cold and handsome face, Seraphina couldn't help but be fascinated.

Finnegan was dressed in a black shirt, dark trousers, and a pair of limited-edition handmade leather shoes. He exuded an aura of power. He was completely irresistible and made women blush and their hearts race.

Finnegan hadn't watched the news and didn't know what had happened. He saw the mess in the room and Tobias attacking Ophe, so he asked, "Ophe, what's wrong?"

"Long story. Let's talk about it later," Ophe said and glanced at Tobias. "Considering you are Magnus's father, I'll still address you with respect. I'll give you one day to go on TV and clarify the truth, to clear Magnus's name. Otherwise, I will expose all the evil deeds you have done. Whether your children are dead or something else happened to them, I know you understand."

Ophe was more direct this time. Tobias finally understood the meaning. Ophe had found out about him selling his children.

Tobias refused to admit it and continued to be defiant, "I don't understand what you're talking about. That bastard dares to bring you guys to bully us. He's simply a bastard."

He really didn't want to confess to a crime.

Ophe didn't want to waste any more time talking to Tobias and turned to Riley and said, "You have given birth to so many children. You are a mother. I believe no mother would willingly harm her child. Are you really willing to continue to assist in villainy by watching him sell off your offspring? Doesn't it pain you? Now that you have Magnus, such an outstanding son, are you really sure you want to continue to assist in destroying him for selfish reasons?"

The words "selling off" affected Riley deeply and brought back memories. Riley felt sad.

Finnegan and Seraphina were also surprised to hear this truth.

Ophe continued when she saw Riley's reaction. "Riley, if you are interested in knowing how Magnus has endured these years and want to learn about his experiences growing up, you can come to Rose Garden at any time and find me. Magnus loves you more than you can imagine. When he didn't have money, he sold his blood and took on multiple part-time jobs, working himself to exhaustion and ending up in the hospital. I'm sure you didn't know about all this."

"Magnus." Tears welled up in Riley's eyes.

Ophe also didn't want her to be fooled and hoped that Riley would come to her senses and help Magnus get through this difficult time.
