Chapter 227 He Got Married

During the meeting, Finnegan was absent-minded. Lynn's return had an impact on him.

The meeting had just ended when Linda, the secretary, walked in and said, "CEO Abbott's, there is a lady who says she wants to see you. She has been waiting downstairs for a long time."

Finnegan immediately knew who it was and went down to meet her personally.

In the company lobby, a woman with outstanding temperament sat in the lounge area. She wore a retro long skirt that exuded an elegant charm, making it hard for anyone to look away.

She casually pinned her long hair up with a hairpin, adding a touch of gentleness to her appearance. It was Lynn.

Having started learning Latin dance in childhood and with over twenty years of experience, Lynn exuded elegance with every move she made.

Lynn spotted Finnegan and stood up, giving a slight smile and nod.

Finnegan walked over and said, "Long time no see."

Lynn smiled lightly and said, "I'm back. I arrived yesterday and couldn't resist coming to see you today. How have you been all these years?"

People were constantly coming and going in the company lobby, so Finnegan suggested, "Let's find another place to talk."

Lynn gently agreed, "Sure."

Fifteen minutes later, Finnegan and Lynn sat facing each other in a coffee house. He poured her coffee and said, "I saw the news online just now. I heard that you have returned and achieved great success. I'm glad for you."

Lynn carried an attractive charm.

"Yes, after so many years of hard work, I can finally achieve success." Lynn's voice was soft. "All these years, I was away by myself, but my heart was always in New York. There are people here that I miss, so I came back."

Lynn observed Finnegan's reaction when she said.

Finnegan didn't look directly at Lynn and spoke in a cold voice, "If there's anything I can do to help in the future, I will do my best. After all, I owe you one."

"Okay," Lynn responded with a smile. "I won't hold back then. This coffee is delicious. I've been drinking red wine all these years abroad and haven't had such authentic coffee in a long time. I still remember the fragrance of the coffee you used to make. You liked the taste of mint."

Finnegan interrupted her with a soft voice, "How long do you plan to stay this time?"

Lynn was slightly taken aback and smiled, saying, "I don't plan to leave. I came back to develop my career and was invited to participate in a variety show."

Finnegan asked casually, "Where are you staying now?"

"At a hotel. It's the one on Park Avenue. You should know it," Lynn replied.

After drinking some coffee, they chatted casually.

Lynn felt particularly at ease chatting with Finnegan. She had waited for five years for this moment.

They talked late into the night and had dinner together. Finnegan walked Lynn to the hotel entrance and said, "Rest early."

"Okay," Lynn expressed her concern, "Drive safely."

After Finnegan started the car and left, Lynn still watched him from the roadside.

A man walked up to Lynn and said, "You couldn't wait to see him as soon as you returned. You still can't forget him these years."

Lynn glanced at the man.

The man was Lynn's agent.

"I've been working hard all these years for what? Just to be closer to him," Lynn said. "I never intended to forget him, so how could I?"

The man retorted, "But have you forgotten what Celia did to you?"

"Finnegan and Celia are different." Lynn's face darkened, and the memories of past humiliation flooded her mind. She said coldly, "Just focus on your job. My personal life is none of your business."

Lynn turned and walked into the hotel.

"Finnegan got married." the man quickly caught up and said, "Lynn, I just don't want to see you fall into the same old pattern."

Lynn was stunned when she heard the news.

"What are you saying? How is that possible?" Lynn exclaimed. "When did he get married?"

It was Celia who called her back this time, but Celia didn't mention it before.

"You've been away from New York for too long. Many things happened in New York, and of course, you wouldn't know," the man said. "I had someone investigate it. Although Finnegan didn't make it public, it's not a secret."

"How could he get married?" Lynn refused to believe it, and she didn't want to accept this fact.
