Chapter 400 He Is Really Angry

The two of them enjoyed a sweet moment in the hotel before heading out for a walk.
They strolled around the hotel area as Ophelia needed to digest her food, and exercise would be beneficial for her future childbirth.
The night view in France was quite nice, though the security could have been better than back home.

Not long after they stepped out, Finnegan noticed someone was following them. He calmly said to Ophelia, "Let's go back to the hotel and rest."

Ophelia replied, "We just came out, what's wrong?"

As soon as she finished speaking, the sound of a motorcycle roared behind them. A motorcycle was charging directly at them, more precisely, at Ophelia.
Finnegan shielded her behind him and kicked the motorcycle as it approached. The motorcycle lost balance, and the two riders fell to the ground, unable to get up due to the pain.

This sudden incident left Ophelia shaken.

Finnegan stepped forward, grabbed one of the men, and with a flash of killing intent in his eyes, asked, "Who sent you?"

It was clear this was a targeted attack, not just a random street gang robbery.
The man remained silent, but the other person quickly got up, picked up the motorcycle, and sped away.

Finnegan glanced at the fleeing man, then punched the one he was holding. If he didn't talk, he would beat him.
Finnegan was already frustrated and needed to vent. He assumed the attackers were sent by officials or Morgan, so he beat the man ruthlessly.

The man, covering his head with his hands, couldn't take the beating anymore and begged, "I'll talk. I'll talk. It's The Boss Langston."

Hearing the name 'Langston', Ophelia remembered the group of yellow-haired men who had blocked her in an alley before. They were also hired by someone named Langston.
It seemed this Langston was still not giving up.

Finnegan's eyes were cold and sharp as he stared at the man, demanding, "Which Langston?"

"The Boss Langston from the Green Street fast food restaurant. He paid us to kill that woman." the man said, glancing at Ophelia.

Upon hearing that someone wanted to kill Ophelia, Finnegan's killing intent intensified.

Ophelia said, "Last night, another group of people caused me trouble, also sent by someone named Langston. I'm curious. Who is this Langston? I don't even know him."

"Go back to the hotel. Leave the rest to me." Finnegan said, kicking the man away. He then called Tate to come and take Ophelia back.

On Green Street, in a certain fast food restaurant, a slightly overweight man received a call and learned that the plan had failed again. He quickly called Natalie and then packed his things to leave.

The man was Carter Langston, the owner of the fast food restaurant.
Carter grabbed his luggage and left through the back door, planning to leave the country overnight. But as soon as he stepped out, something cold pressed against his forehead.

He looked closely and saw it was a gun.
Carter's eyes widened in terror, and his luggage fell to the ground. He froze, not daring to move.
When he saw who was holding the gun, Carter almost wet himself.

It was Finnegan.

"Carter? The Boss Langston?" Finnegan's finger was on the trigger, his expression cold as death. "What did my wife do to you that you would try to kill a pregnant woman?"

Carter's face turned pale, and he didn't dare to admit anything.
"I don't know what you're talking about. This is France, and killing is illegal here. Don't do anything rash. If you want money, I'll give you money."

Finnegan gave a bloodthirsty smile. "You want my wife's life, and you're talking to me about the law?"

"It's all a misunderstanding, Finnegan."

Finnegan said expressionlessly, "I'll count to three. Who ordered you to do this? One, two."

Carter didn't dare to gamble. He couldn't wait for Finnegan to count to three. In terror, he said, "Natalie, it was Natalie."

In the face of death, promises and assurances meant nothing. People prioritize survival.

Carter had thought it would be easy to deal with Ophelia in France. If a foreigner died on the street, the local police wouldn't care.

Having gotten the answer he wanted, Finnegan didn't hesitate. He pulled the trigger.
It was a silenced gun, so there was no sound.

Carter died with his eyes wide open, never expecting that even after confessing, he wouldn't escape death.
After dealing with Carter, Finnegan tossed the gun to Atticus behind him. "Clean it up."

Atticus looked at Carter's lifeless body, killed with a single shot, and swallowed hard, his face pale.
He had followed Finnegan for eight years and had never seen him so ruthless.
Now, it was Carter. Next, it would be Mary, Morgan, and officials.
Atticus realized that after Finnegan's release from prison, he had become even more bloodthirsty and wouldn't spare anyone.
After boss's baby, she Escape
