Chapter 166: Two Traitors

Finnegan smiled and said, "What's the problem? You're my wife. A married man should always prioritize his wife."

Ophelia increasingly realized that after they got together, Finnegan's sweet talk never ceased.

Unable to contain her excitement, Ophelia cupped Finnegan's face and said, "I'm so glad you weren't stolen away by someone else. Otherwise, where would I find such a good husband like you, Finnegan, you're truly a treasure of a man."

This wasn't the first time Ophelia had said this, but she truly meant it from the bottom of her heart.

His goodness could heal all her fears.

His thoughtfulness spared her many embarrassments.

Finnegan held her hand and kissed the back of it, saying, "You have a conscience, I see."

Soon, they arrived at Orchid Garden, and from that day forward, Ophelia would live here, becoming the official lady of the house.

Upon hearing the sound of the car honking, Old Abbott eagerly rushed out from inside.

"Granddaughter-in-law, let me see you quickly."

Old Abbott had a clear objective in mind.

As Finnegan got off the car, he started to say, "Grandmother..."

Before he could finish speaking, Old Abbott pushed him aside, saying, "Don't block my view of my granddaughter-in-law."

Finnegan: "..."

He was now out of favor.

Ophelia got off the car, feeling a bit shy, and said, "Grandmother."

Even though they had met before, this time their relationship was different, and Ophelia naturally felt a bit nervous.

Old Abbott excitedly grabbed Ophelia's hand and said, "Granddaughter-in-law, our great grandson finally brought you back. Did you two get a marriage certificate? My great grandson is fortunate to have married such a good wife. Come on, let's go inside. Grandmother has something good for you."

Don't be fooled by Old Abbott's old age and dementia. He was quick on his feet and pulled Ophelia inside in a hurry.

He didn't even spare a glance at his precious grandson.

Jude came out from inside, and as Ophelia passed by him, she nervously called out, "Uncle."

Upon hearing this "uncle," Jude's smile stiffened. They were already married, so why was she still calling him "uncle"?

Before Jude could say anything, Old Abbott had already pulled Ophelia upstairs, saying, "Come on, granddaughter-in-law, the good stuff is upstairs."
The two of them went upstairs. Jude turned around and scolded his son, Finnegan: "Finnegan, why does your wife still call me uncle?"
Finnegan readily responded, "Dad, if you want Ophe to change the way she addresses you, you should at least give her some money. How can you expect her to change for free?"
Jude suddenly realized, and stared at Finnegan, saying, "Did you teach that to your wife?"
Finnegan walked into the room, neither denying nor confirming.
Jude sarcastically said, "Things are different after marriage."
Lina walked over with a smile, poured water, and asked, "Mr. Abbott's, what time is dinner?"
Finnegan glanced at the time and said, "Wait another half an hour. Grandma and Ophe are upstairs talking, and it might take a while for them to come down."
Lina said, "Okay."
Lina turned and joined the other housekeepers in the kitchen, busy with their work.
Jude sat next to his son and said seriously, "Finnegan, tell me, are you and Ophelia getting married for real? Or are you doing this to spite your mother?"
"Dad, when have I not been serious?" Finnegan replied with a slight smile.
Jude stared at Finnegan for a while and asked, "How long have you known Ophelia?"
"Not long, we've really been together for a month," Finnegan knew what Jude meant and said, "Dad, I know my boundaries. I got a marriage certificate with Ophelia after careful consideration."
Finnegan's attitude towards Jude and Celia was completely different. Although Jude's words did not have any effect on him, Finnegan was much more gentle in his attitude towards his father.
Jude nodded and said, "That's good. Getting married is not a bad thing. Once you're married, you'll become a real man, and the responsibilities you bear will be even greater. Our Abbott's Family doesn't really need any high-profile marriages. As long as you marry someone you love, you'll spend the next few decades comfortably and happily."
Jude never made a lot of money in his life, nor did he worry about it. He valued his lifestyle and his own happiness.
He didn't oppose Finnegan's marriage, nor did he have any objections to whoever Finnegan wanted to marry, as long as he was happy.
Finnegan suddenly handed Jude a cigarette and said, "Thanks, Dad."
Jude was pleasantly surprised and smiled, "So, you're really married and mature now. Maybe I should invite your mother to come and see, perhaps she'll change her opinion of your wife."
Finnegan asked, "Did you inform Mom that you're coming?"
"No, I didn't tell her. It's impossible to communicate with your mother. I had Miss Rachel inform her at home. We came to see your wife at your place," Jude lit the cigarette and took a puff.
At the same time, in the old mansion of the Abbott's Family.
Celia returned home and discovered that Old Abbott and Jude were not there. She asked the housekeeper and learned that both of them had gone to Orchid Garden to visit their daughter-in-law.

Upon hearing this news, Celia was furious.

Housekeeper Miss Rachel added, "Madam, before leaving, Mr. Abbott asked me to let you know that if you want to have dinner at Orchid Garden, it would be best to go early."

"I'm not going. They are both traitors," Celia replied.
After boss's baby, she Escape
