Chapter 659 The Typhoon is Coming

Caspian was still confused. In his opinion, the Abbott family was really plagued with troubles, and Lloyd was truly a disaster, showing no gratitude for the Abbott family's upbringing.

Caspian assured, "Don't worry, leave your parents to me. I'll head to the Abbott family estate right now."

With so many years of friendship, Caspian would never stand by idly when Finnegan was in trouble.

After hanging up the phone, Caspian went to the Abbott family estate, coaxing Jude and Celia to visit the Hawthorne family, lying that his parents had invited them.

Jude, already puzzled by Finnegan's call, asked on the way to the Hawthorne family, "Caspian, be honest with me. What's really going on?"

Celia was even more confused. "What's going on? Is it about Mom? You were on the phone with Finnegan earlier, what did he say?"

"Finnegan's explanation was rather vague. I'm still puzzled," Jude remarked. "He mentioned something about Susan not being deceased, and that Ophelia and Warmie were taken by Lloyd. The authorities are searching for them, and Finnegan's whereabouts are unknown. I initially assumed he was simply overwhelmed by grief from Susan's supposed passing and became disoriented."

Caspian comprehended the situation and elucidated, "Jude, Celia, I believe I have a grasp on the situation. Lloyd is the mastermind behind Moonlight Gate, a nefarious group involved in heinous crimes like murder and theft. Remember the episode where Finnegan nearly lost his vision? That was orchestrated by Moonlight Gate. Presently, they have seized Susan and the rest as a form of retribution against the Abbott clan."

"Lloyd again," Celia said angrily. "What did we ever do to him? We raised him for decades, even a dog knows to guard the house, but he bites back."

Caspian advised, "Finnegan is concerned that Moonlight Gate might target you as well, and he fears he may not be able to shield you. Therefore, it's advisable for you to seek refuge with the Hawthorne family for a few days until this ordeal is resolved."

Jude and Celia held hands tightly, comforting each other. Jude said, "In these critical times, we won't add to Finnegan's troubles. Caspian, sorry to trouble you."

Caspian said, "Don't mention it. It's the least I can do."

Night fell.

The wind picked up, and the sea became turbulent with waves.

Raymond had finally reached the shore but couldn't find Finnegan. He was worried that Finnegan might do something extreme.

He had already lost contact with Finnegan.

At this moment, Landon received a notification from the weather station, his expression changed slightly, and he quickly walked over to Raymond. "Raymond, the weather station reports that a typhoon is coming tonight, and it's already at a red alert level."

Upon hearing this, Raymond's expression shifted. "Based on satellite information, Lloyd's vessel is on the brink of entering international waters. Verify the timing of the typhoon's landfall and its trajectory."

If the typhoon really hit, and the ship sailed into the storm, there will be almost no chance of survival. Raymond couldn't risk the lives of so many officers by going out to sea.

As Landon went to verify the details, Raymond attempted to reach Finnegan once more but was unsuccessful. Left with no other option, he left a voicemail message, "Finnegan, a typhoon is approaching. If you haven't departed yet, refrain from doing so. If you're already at sea, make a swift return."

By this time, Finnegan was already at sea, following the Shadow Syndicate.

The leader of The Shadow Syndicate this time was Harold.

Harold had only brought eighteen people, which was more than enough. Their ship was chasing Lloyd's, now only about twenty miles away.

After receiving the mission, the Shadow Syndicate's information department quickly pinpointed Lloyd's location at sea.

The Shadow Syndicate's own satellite positioning was even more efficient.

Finnegan and Harold stood on the deck, the sea wind howling. The temperature difference at night was significant, and the cold wind made their clothes flap loudly.

Harold, wearing a Bluetooth earpiece, heard a voice. "Harold, the typhoon will make landfall in half an hour. You must leave the sea before then."

"Roger that," Harold replied, his expression unchanged.

Half an hour was enough.
