Chapter 316 Swapping Baby Formula

Seraphina hurriedly left, walking out of the apartment building and calling Niamh. "The opportunity has come. Can you make a different type of medicine? This granular form isn't convenient. It's best to have it in powder or liquid form. Quickly, I need it tonight."
After making the call, Niamh sprang into action, making calls everywhere to find the medicine. Meanwhile, Ophelia had no idea what was about to happen.
She had a nightmare that night, which left her drenched in cold sweat. When she woke up, Finnegan was right beside her, asking, "What's wrong? Did you have a nightmare?"
Ophelia nodded.
Finnegan noticed her sweaty forehead, immediately fetched some tissues, and poured her a glass of water.
Ophelia took a sip to calm herself down, then touched her stomach. "I dreamt that something happened to the baby. The baby asked me to save him; he was in so much pain, and then there was a lot of blood."
She didn't dare to recall the dream, still feeling frightened.
Finnegan hugged her, comforting her gently. "Don't be afraid, I'm here. It's just hormonal imbalance during pregnancy that causes nightmares."
Ophelia held onto his shirt tightly, looking at him, asking, "Are you going on a business trip tomorrow? Maybe you shouldn't go."
"Alright." Finnegan smiled warmly. "I won't go. I'll have Atticus go instead."
Seeing his quick agreement, Ophelia felt a bit guilty. The situation at the company was different now, and she knew how important tomorrow's trip was for the company. Yet, he agreed without hesitation just because she was uneasy after a nightmare.
"Honey," Ophelia said, deeply moved, affectionately rubbing her face against his chest. "Forget it. You should go busy yourself tomorrow. I can't hold you back. I know the company has been facing troubles lately, and you're stressed."
"Nothing is more important than you and the baby. Whether I stay in New York or not, it's the same. Atticus can handle these small matters." Finnegan smoothed out the stray hair on her forehead, his thin lips slightly curved. "Alright, let's sleep. I'll hold you."
Ophelia nodded and lay down, resting her head on his arm, feeling secure.
Finnegan watched Ophelia slowly fall asleep in his arms, not letting go.
The company's matters troubled him, but as long as Ophelia was by his side, he felt at peace.
The next day, Finnegan didn't go on the business trip. He just went to the office as usual, leaving the journey to Atticus.
Ophelia, still feeling off due to the nightmare from the previous night, didn't want to go out either.
The weather was gloomy that day, and it started raining after Finnegan left.
Lynn also stayed indoors, reading in the pavilion. Ophelia walked over and asked, "What are you reading?"
"Blaire Collins' Secret History. I'm planning to choreograph a new dance based on Blaire's story," Lynn replied. "I want to understand the history first."
Glancing at the cover, Ophelia said, "I'm looking forward to your Blaire story. By the way, I haven't seen your agent for several days."
"I asked him to find another job," Lynn chuckled. "I'll focus on running the studio and teaching dance to students. I don't need an agent anymore. He's been with me for so many years; it's enough. I don't want to hold back his future."
"I think he's quite happy about it." Ophelia had only met the assistant once, but she had heard Lina mention him several times, saying the assistant had come to see Lynn.
From Lynn, she roughly understood that besides the agent relationship, the assistant and Lynn were friends, and the assistant's intentions were quite clear to a normal person.
As the two chatted in the pavilion, on the other side, Magnus had packed all the gifts he bought for Ophelia and was waiting for Seraphina to arrive so they could leave together. Just as Magnus checked the time and was about to call to urge Seraphina, the doorbell rang.
Magnus opened the door, and there stood Seraphina. "Traffic was bad, so I'm sorry for being late." Seraphina explained.
"I'm all set. Let's go. We'll take a taxi today. We'll go downstairs first and then call for a car," Magnus said.
"Okay," Seraphina reached out to take the gift bag from Magnus. "Let me help a bit. Your injury is still healing; you shouldn't do the heavy lifting."
Without much thought, Magnus let Seraphina help with some of the items.
Magnus led the way, and as Seraphina glanced at the maternity formula in the bag, her eyes flickered. "Magnus, you go call for the car first. I need to use your restroom and will be back soon."
After boss's baby, she Escape
