Chapter 720 The Secret to Chasing Someone

Tate's eyes widened in surprise; Caspian had shown up.

Caspian stumbled out of the car, looking a bit of a mess. He'd woken up at 7:30, sped through several red lights, and now the cops were hot on his tail.

"Tate, Tate," Caspian called out, trying to calm himself. He waved and smiled. "Sorry I'm late. Ran into some trouble."

Tate jumped out of the car, ready to run to him, but the cops arrived first—four or five of them on motorcycles, parking and heading straight for Caspian.

"You think you're invincible, huh?Blowing through red lights like that? You got a death wish?" one of the officers barked.

Another cop chimed in, "Nice car doesn't make you special. What if you'd caused an accident? You're coming with us."

Caspian knew he was in the wrong and quickly apologized. "I'm sorry, it's my fault. I'll go with you, but can I have a few minutes to talk to my girlfriend?"

The cops weren't having it. They glanced at Tate and shook their heads. "Whatever you need to say, you can say it at the station."

Caspian looked over at Raymond, still in the car. "Raymond, help me out here, just a few minutes."

Seeing Tate smile, even the Stewart family members who had issues with Caspian started to calm down.

Raymond got out and addressed the cops. "Thanks for your hard work. I'm Raymond from the Counter-Terrorism Unit. Can you give us three minutes? After that, you can handle him however you need to."

The cops, seeing Raymond's credentials, decided to give Caspian a little time.

Caspian walked over to Tate, smiling. "Tate, I'm here. I had a gift for you, but I left in such a hurry I forgot it. I drank too much at a business dinner last night, and Lester put me up in a hotel, so I overslept."

Karen had tried to drug Caspian to keep him asleep until noon, but she bought fake drugs. Caspian, determined to see Tate, woke up through sheer willpower.

"Okay," Tate said softly. Caspian's arrival was enough; the gift didn't matter.

"I'll go with them and take care of this. You, Raymond, and your parents go home first. I'll come find you after," Caspian explained.

There are only two types of men in this world: those who love you and those who don't. There's no such thing as a man who doesn't understand women. A man who loves you will naturally think of you in every way.

Tate nodded. Caspian waved to Raymond, Eugene, and Barbara. "I'll leave Tate in your care."

The three of them stayed silent.

It seemed like Tate was already Caspian's.

Caspian followed the cops. Running red lights was serious business, so he got fined and a verbal reprimand.

Tate went home, and Eugene and Raymond were thrilled.

Karen came out of the living room, smiling. "Tate, you're back."

Karen had changed her clothes, but her figure was unmistakable. Tate, once an assassin, had recognized Karen at the prison gate but didn't expose her.

In front of Tate, Karen's tricks were nothing.

After boss's baby, she Escape
