Chapter 527 Seeking Help from Moonlight Gate
Before this incident, Tate really didn't know that Deacon was working for Moonlight Gate.
Lloyd said coldly, "You just need to obey orders."
"Yes." Tate dared not ask more.
Satisfied, Lloyd left, and Tate stared at the medicine in her hand. She didn't take it. She was really tired of her current life.
To get rid of Moonlight Gate, the police station was the best destination.
"Tate, the master is really good to you, giving you a month's supply every time while we only get a week's supply." Anthony appeared in front of her again.
Tate glanced at Anthony. "I can give you this bottle of medicine. Tell me, where is Finnegan?"
This was a clear deal. Anthony knew the value of this bottle of medicine. They worked for Lloyd just for this medicine—for survival!
Anthony was surprised. "Are you really willing to give it to me? Once there's no medicine, you will die. Is it worth it?"
Tate said expressionlessly, "Whether it's worth it or not is my business. Do you want the medicine or not?"
Of course, Anthony wanted it. "That night, I was ordered to deal with Deacon, but I failed. I only know that the master sent someone to assassinate Finnegan. As for where Finnegan went, I'm not sure, but he definitely isn't at Moonlight Gate."
"Why assassinate Finnegan?" Tate asked. "That task doesn't even exist."
"How could I know more than you?" Anthony said. "Give me the medicine."
Tate tossed the medicine to Anthony without hesitation and then left gracefully.
Before dealing with Deacon, she wanted to see Ophelia. This may be their last meeting.
Night fell. Tate entered the Abbott family directly. Ophelia was on the phone with Landon, getting the latest news.
Seeing Tate suddenly appeared in front of her, Ophelia was almost startled.
After hanging up the phone, Ophelia asked, "Tate, something happened to Finnegan. He's missing now. You're in the underworld. You should know if anyone from the underworld has entered City N recently."
Ophelia's precise question made Tate a bit nervous, but she didn't dare to admit, "I don't know."
"If even you don't know, who would want Finnegan's life? He's missing. The police have searched the entire mountain, but there's no trace." Ophelia mentioned Finnegan, almost crying.
Tate awkwardly comforted, "Ophelia, don't worry. He should be fine. Let the police investigate more specifically. Check if there were any suspicious vehicles entering or leaving the area during that time. If they wanted to take Finnegan away, they would definitely need transportation."
Since Finnegan couldn't be at the Moonlight Gate, he must still be alive as Atticus.
When Tate rushed over, she didn't see Finnegan. The time interval between the explosion and her arrival wasn't short. Tate remembered that when she left, she saw a car not far from the explosion site. The lights were off, and there was no one inside.
Finding that car could reveal who else was at the scene at that time. But Tate couldn't say it directly. She could only guide Ophelia to investigate.
Ophelia nodded. "Your analysis is correct. I was also thinking that he must still be alive. Otherwise, his body would have been found. The police checked the cars coming back from the dock to the city during that period, but they haven't checked the ones leaving yet. I'll call Landon."
Ophelia was about to call Landon again when she suddenly remembered something. "Oh, Tate, you're from Moonlight Gate. I heard your organization can take orders. Please help find out who want to kill Finnegan and his whereabouts. You should be able to do that, right?"
Ophelia's words made Tate pause for a moment. The ones who wanted to harm Finnegan were from Moonlight Gate, and now Ophelia wanted Moonlight Gate's help.
Tate quickly said, "No."
Ophelia was puzzled by Tate's reaction. "Why not? I'm willing to pay any amount."
"It's not about money." Tate was never good at lying, and it was really hard for her to come up with an excuse to deceive Ophelia. "Moonlight Gate won't take such orders."
"I believe there's no deal in this world that can't be made, only prices that can't be agreed upon," Ophelia insisted. "Tate, tell me how to place an order with your Moonlight Gate. I'll handle the rest."
