Chapter 183 Ophe is Your Daughter
Finnegan briefly explained the situation to Dovie.
Dovie listened with wide eyes, finding it hard to believe. She immediately looked at Niamh and asked sternly, "Did you do it?"
Niamh hesitated for a few seconds before replying. "...It wasn't me, Mom. I really don't know what's going on. I heard that Ophe fought with Paxton, so I went to check on them. They accused me of drugging someone, but I think Ophe seduced Paxton and got caught, so she's deliberately shifting the blame onto me."
Speaking, Niamh glared at Ophe fiercely. "Ophe, why did you conspire with Blaire to brand me? You hold a grudge against me for firing you. I can now suspect that Sybil Fletcher harming me was orchestrated by you. You were the one close to Sybil Fletcher in the entire company. And now you let Blaire slander me. You are so malicious."
Ophe burst out laughing. If she hadn't been the person involved, she would have been convinced by Niamh's reasoning.
Before Ophe could say anything, Finnegan discreetly patted her back, indicating that she didn't have to worry and leave it to him.
Ophe remained silent.
Finnegan casually tapped his finger on his hand, his gaze slightly cold as he looked at Niamh. "I gave you two chances to admit it. If you refuse to acknowledge it, then it's not my fault."
After saying that, Finnegan gestured to the bodyguard next to him, who brought in Ricky, someone from outside.
During the banquet, Ricky wanted to slip away, but Finnegan's bodyguards caught him at the entrance.
When Niamh saw Ricky, she panicked completely.
Finnegan's voice was cold as he said, "Ricky, I admire your honesty. Say what you need to say."
Finnegan didn't ask. When his hawk-like eyes looked at Ricky, Ricky felt like he was being seen through.
Ricky wanted to avoid ending up like Paxton.
Immediately, Ricky said, "Niamh asked me to prepare the medicine. I didn't know what she wanted to do. She called me during the day and told me to prepare a bottle of medicine. I only found out at the restaurant that Niamh was targeting Ophe."
"Ricky, you're talking nonsense." Niamh was so angry that she wanted to throw something at Ricky, but she didn't have anything by her side, so she could only stare.
Finnegan looked at Blaire again, who looked at Dovie and confessed, "Chairman Dovie, it was Miss Niamh who told me to put the drug in Ophe's drink to lure Paxton into the private room and wanted to bully Ophe."
"Blaire, you're talking nonsense..." Niamh roared.
Before she could finish, Dovie slapped Niamh in the face out of anger. It was the first time she had slapped her daughter in ten years.
Dovie was furious, of course, but she had to do this to explain Finnegan.
It was better to take matters into her own than to let others do it.
Niamh looked at Dovie in disbelief. "Mom, did you slap me? You have never hurt me before. Is it because of Ophe? Did you hurt me because of Ophe? Mom!"
Niamh screamed in agony, unable to accept this reality.
Dovie had a cold and indifferent attitude toward Niamh and didn't pay her any attention. Instead, she turned to Finnegan and said, "Little Finnegan, I understand the whole situation. I truly apologize this time, Ophe. It was my fault for not teaching my daughter properly. I'm really sorry."

Niamh couldn't possibly bow down to Ophe, stubbornly saying, "I'm not wrong, Mom. Have you gone mad? I'm your daughter. Ophe stole my fiancé. Why aren't you on my side?"
"The Abbott's Family and the Parks Family had a engagement, but it's not obligatory. It doesn't specifically mention anyone's name. So if Little Finnegan marries another person, you won't be considered his fiancee. Little Finnegan has the freedom to choose who he wants to marry."
Dovie had a healthy perspective, and she had already noticed that Finnegan didn't like Niamh. She never forced this marriage upon him.
Niamh roared, "Mom, why are you speaking up for outsiders? I'm Finnegan's fiancee. Ophe isn't your daughter. Why are you supporting her…"
Finnegan looked at Dovie and said, "Aunt Dovie, I didn't send her to the police station today because of the relationship between our families. Aunt Dovie, what do you think we should do now?" Finnegan intentionally let Dovie make the final decision.
