Chapter 724 Has a Lover Outside

Lynn and Carl had just dug up Wayne's past when Lily arrived at the club. She picked this spot to meet Wayne because Celia was here today, playing cards with her friends.

Lily's plan was simple: get caught cheating to speed up her divorce.

In a private room, Wayne was already waiting. After a bit, the door opened, and Lily walked in. "Did you find out which room Celia's in?"

"Yeah, I did. They’ll be done in half an hour," Wayne replied. "When the time comes, we'll step out, and as long as Celia sees us, that's enough."

"Alright, Wayne, thanks."

Earlier, Lily had called someone to come to Yorkhaven, and it was Wayne.

Wayne chuckled, "This is a first for me. The Abbott family won't come after me, right?"

Being the other man in a marriage, Wayne was genuinely worried Finnegan might come after him.

Lily said, "There's some risk, Wayne. If you're uncomfortable, we can still call it off."

"I'm just saying," Wayne shrugged. "I'll help you out, but I don't get why you're doing this. Isn't being Finnegan's wife good enough? There's no upside to a divorce."

"I have my reasons. I'll explain later," Lily said, sounding a bit sad. "Finnegan loves too deeply, and that's not always good. Sometimes, less is more."

Wayne was puzzled. "Don't women desire a man's complete devotion? Men like Finnegan are hard to come by."

Lily stayed quiet, waiting for Celia to finish her game.

Celia was having a rough day, losing money left and right. By the end, she was over it.

Feeling embarrassed to quit early, she stuck it out until the end. "I'm done for today. I need to go home. Promised my granddaughter I'd play with her tonight."

A friend teased, "Celia, you're just quitting because you're losing."

"Next time," Celia said, grabbing her bag and leaving.

Her friends were just joking, and they all went their separate ways.

The driver was already waiting at the door. Celia was on the phone with Jude as she walked out.

Suddenly, she spotted a familiar figure.

Celia squinted, her expression changing. The woman holding hands with a man in the distance was Lily.

"Why is Lily holding hands with another man?" Celia muttered. "So close, something's up. Is she cheating?"

Jude, on the other end of the line, was confused. "Celia, what are you talking about? Cheating?"

Celia didn't have time to explain and quickly hung up. She needed to find Lily and get to the bottom of this.

But Lily walked too fast and soon disappeared.

Celia was sure she saw it clearly: Lily was with another man.

Realizing the gravity of the situation, Celia got another call from Jude. She answered, "Honey, something's wrong. Lily is seeing someone else."

"That's impossible," Jude didn't believe it. "Don't talk nonsense."

"I saw it with my own eyes," Celia insisted. "I'm going to Finnegan's house to check."

After hanging up again, Celia had the driver take her to Finnegan's house. Neither Lily nor Finnegan was home; Finnegan had taken Warmie out.

Celia had no choice but to ask the nanny, "How have Lily and Finnegan been lately? Still sleeping in separate rooms?"

The nanny nodded, "Yes, they are. They seem to be in a cold war. Haven't spoken for days, and Lily's ignoring Finnegan."

"A cold war?" Celia was alarmed. "When does Lily usually come home?"

"Sometimes early, sometimes late," the nanny said honestly.

Celia asked again, "Anything unusual? Like, has she been seeing anyone?"

Before the nanny could answer, Finnegan walked in holding Warmie's hand.

"Mom," Finnegan interrupted, having overheard Celia's words.

He wouldn't let anyone talk about Lily behind her back.

"Finnegan, something's wrong." Celia sent the nanny away, then said, "I just saw Lily being very close with a man, holding hands. Are you two fighting? Is Lily seeing someone else?"
