Chapter 448 Pig-Like Teammates
Jesse shook his head, "I think you should manage the business left by Natalie well."
Jesse did not agree with Niamh's idea.
Niamh immediately gave Jesse a sharp look. "Jesse, are you scared? Everything you have now was given by my mother. Do you want to watch her die without helping?"
"Do you really want to save Natalie?" Jesse sneered, "You want revenge, Niamh. Life is precious, isn't it? Wait for the court's decision, take your time, manage the money, and get Natalie's sentence reduced. That's the best way to save her."
Jesse’s words fell on deaf ears, leaving Niamh furious.
"You're useless," Niamh said before heading into the bedroom.
From the beginning, Natalie's biggest wish was for Niamh to inherit the company, not to oppose Ophelia.
Niamh did all this out of personal vendetta, unable to swallow this anger.
Back in the room, Niamh made a phone call. "Arrange someone for me."
The next day was Ophelia's due date, and Finnegan took Ophelia to the hospital in advance.
If anything happened, they would be prepared.
Celia and Jude also went to the hospital to visit Ophelia, with Finnegan by her side the whole time.
Ophelia was nervous, lying in bed, looking at her big belly. "I wonder when Lucky will come out."
There were no signs of labor.
Finnegan touched Ophelia's belly, saying, "Don't worry."
Celia reassured, "Children who come a bit later are clever."
Jude comforted Ophelia, "Ophelia, don't worry, the whole family is here with you."
"Thank you, Dad. Thank you, Mom." Ophelia was truly touched.
Susan, being unwell, was not allowed by Finnegan to come, or she would have come to the hospital.
"Mom, Dad, you should go back first. Ophelia hasn't given birth yet. Waiting here won't help," Finnegan said, "I'll stay here with her, and I'll call you when she's in labor."
"Alright, we'll go back. Remember to call." Celia gently patted Ophelia's shoulder. "Don't worry. We'll be waiting to hold our granddaughter."
Ophelia nodded. "Okay, go back, Mom, Dad. Drive safely."
After everyone left, Finnegan sat beside Ophelia, holding her hand and kissing it gently. "Get some rest."
"Okay." Ophelia was eagerly anticipating the arrival of the child.
Meanwhile, after Magnus checked the surveillance footage at the electronics factory gate, he found the man delivering coffee to Seraphina. Completely ignoring Landon's advice, he decided to track the coffee delivery man secretly.
Magnus followed him all the way to the CC Club and discovered that the man worked there.
The man's name was Rex Ingram. He was slim and tall. Magnus had never heard Seraphina mentioned him before.
Magnus found this man suspicious. 'He is working at the CC Club. How did he know Seraphina?' he thought.
Magnus lost track of Rex in the club but coincidentally saw Niamh heading upstairs.
Knowing that Seraphina knew Niamh and that Niamh had a conflict with Ophelia, Magnus instinctively followed her.
Niamh walked to the club's rooftop garden, a private area where entry without Deacon's permission was prohibited.
Magnus could only follow to the garden entrance, as going further would risk being discovered.
Magnus noticed that Rex, who he had lost earlier, was also there.
Rex and Niamh stood respectfully behind a man whose back was turned toward Magnus, making it impossible to see his face.
Rex said to the man in front of him, "Mr. Stone, the police are onto me."
Deacon remained facing away, shrouded in darkness.
Deacon replied, "Don't panic. Lay low for a while, and come back when the danger has passed."
"Yes, Mr. Stone," Rex replied respectfully.
Niamh asked, "Mr. Stone, did you call me here so late just to tell me these strange things?"
"Behave yourself these days. Don't think I don't know what you're up to," Deacon coldly cautioned, "Don't act recklessly."
"Your target is Finnegan. Mine is Ophelia, Mr. Stone, I won't drag you into this." Niamh guessed that Deacon was helping her due to conflicts with Finnegan.
Deacon chuckled, "If you want to court death, I can't stop you. Natalie took the blame for you. Do you think you can get away with poisoning Dovie?"
Niamh was shocked. "How do you know?"
Magnus, who was eavesdropping in the shadows, was equally stunned.
'Is Niamh the one who killed Dovie?' he thought.
