Chapter 595 Cross-Dressing Master
Despite her amnesia, Tate's instinctual vigilance remained, and she detected the car tailing them.
Caspian was still confused. "Following us? Where? Who?"
As they pulled into the mall parking lot and exited the car, they entered the mall via the elevator.
Tate kept an eye on the person following them, who also entered the mall.
It was a woman wearing a baseball cap.
Judging by the figure, it was a woman.
Her tracking skills were terrible, just blatantly following them.
Caspian and Tate took the elevator to the first floor, and Tate said, "Let's split up. You go left. I'll go right."
Caspian, still unsure of the situation, worried that someone from Moonlight Gate was here to cause trouble for Tate, said, "Let's switch jackets."
Tate asked, "Why?"
"I definitely haven't offended anyone; they must be after you. As a girl, you're more vulnerable." Caspian, showing some chivalry, said, "I'll distract them.."
Tate's heart skipped a beat. She didn't remember the past, but she was touched by Caspian's kindness.
For the first time, she felt someone was worried about her.
Seeing Tate in a daze, Caspian directly took off Tate's jacket and handed her his own. "Put this on."
As he spoke, Caspian put on Tate's white blazer and walked in the other direction.
Nearby, a display of wigs caught his attention. Caspian selected a long-haired one resembling Tate's, paid for it, and put it on as he made his way towards a different exit of the mall.
Tate was speechless.
She didn't quite understand Caspian. He said they weren't close, but he lent her money, found her a job, and now, when they were being followed, he made such a big sacrifice to help her.
A thought suddenly popped into Tate's mind. 'Could Caspian like me? Or did we have an unusual relationship in the past?'
'Maybe my amnesia had something to do with him, and he felt guilty, which is why he kept helping me,' Tate thought.
As she was thinking, Tate saw the woman following them in a nearby mirror.
Tate turned her back, also thinking the woman was after her.
The woman in the baseball cap looked around, muttering, "Where did they go?"
The woman glanced and saw Tate holding Caspian's jacket.
She had been following them all along, so even though Tate took off the jacket, she recognized her as someone with Caspian.
Not seeing Caspian, she was furious and walked towards Tate, angrily saying, "Why are you holding Caspian's jacket? Where is he? Are you his new lover? He's changed his taste again. Let me tell you, Caspian is my man. Don't think he likes you. He's just playing with you."
Tate was speechless.
Her brain's receiver had no problem; she understood every word and pieced together the meaning.
The woman was after Caspian, not her.
Tate coldly asked, "Who are you, and what's your relationship with Caspian?"
The woman took off her baseball cap, revealing a delicate face, and proudly said, "I'm Karen Stewart, Caspian's girlfriend. You better stay away from him. Shameless."
Understanding the situation, Tate said, "Wait a moment, I'll make a call."
Tate took out her phone and called Caspian. "Come to first floor of the mall, the previous spot."
After speaking, Tate hung up.
On the other side, Caspian thought Tate was in trouble and rushed over, still wearing the wig and the women's blazer.
Because the size was small, Caspian couldn't button it and had to drape it over his shoulders.
A few minutes later, Caspian arrived. "Tate, what's going on?"
He hadn't noticed Karen yet.
Karen was also stunned by Caspian's look "Caspian, why are you dressed like this, cosplay?"
Hearing the voice, Caspian noticed Karen and was surprised. "What are you doing here?"
Feeling awkward, Caspian quickly took off the wig and the blazer.
"I'm looking for you." Karen assertively linked her arm with Caspian's. "Who is she? Tell her, am I your girlfriend or not?"
