Chapter 627 Taking Risks
Ophelia received a summons from Raymond. With the clues and evidence provided by Tate and Aria, Lloyd's identity could be confirmed now.
Since Finnegan wasn't in Yorkhaven, Raymond had to notify Ophelia.
Everyone knew that Ophelia was the one in charge of the Abbott family, not Jude, Celia or the old Susan.
Seeing Raymond looking troubled, Ophelia asked, "Raymond, is there any new lead?"
"We now have enough evidence to prove that Lloyd is the founder of Moonlight Gate," Raymond said. "Tate has regained her memory and confessed everything. The Moonlight Gate assassin Aria has also turned herself in. Let's discuss the details in the office."
Learning that Tate had regained her memories, Ophelia was overjoyed. Finnegan had previously told her that Tate would be the key to bringing down Lloyd. Now that Tate had remembered, their chance had come.
Ophelia followed Raymond to the office and provided the clue that Lloyd was currently in Riway Village in Rivonia.
Managing a cross-border case posed significant challenges. Raymond said, "Ms. Sinclair, contact Finnegan and have him find a way to lure Lloyd back to the country."
Raymond held Ophelia in high regard, not just as the Parks Corporation heiress and Abbott's Corporation matriarch, but also as the biological offspring of Prince Wilder from country F, a fact he gleaned from international news.
As the captain of the anti-terrorism unit, Raymond had to be cautious in his address since Ophelia, as the daughter of a prince, sometimes represented relations between two countries.
But it was different with Finnegan. Although they were in different circles, they weren't entirely without connections. They had been elementary school classmates, though Finnegan had transferred after just one semester.
"Lure Lloyd back to the country?" Ophelia thought this was very difficult. "You just said that Tate and Aria have both turned themselves in. Moonlight Gate will definitely get the news soon, and Lloyd will be even more afraid to return."
At least in the short term, Lloyd would definitely be lying low.
Thinking of this, Ophelia became even more anxious. If Finnegan couldn't rescue Warmie from Lloyd this time and Lloyd went into hiding, she had no idea when the next opportunity would come.
Raymond said gravely, "Then we can only try. I will set off for Rivonia, but the process will take some time. I hope to leverage your connections."
Ophelia immediately understood. If Raymond were to go to Rivonia to capture someone, it would certainly be difficult and would require approval from higher-ups.
This operation had significant implications, and any misstep could cause tensions between the two countries. Raymond's superiors might not approve of this plan.
As a family member of the victim as well as a member of the royal family of country F, Ophelia could exert pressure on the higher-ups.
"I'll handle this," Ophelia said. "I'll inform my father about this. Let me know before you go to Rivonia, and please, bring Warmie and Finnegan back safely."
Raymond didn't approve of Finnegan going to Rivonia on his own, but as a father, Finnegan couldn't just do nothing.
Raymond promised, "This is my duty. Please also tell Finnegan not to act rashly. If he has any information, I hope he will inform me promptly."
"I will definitely convey that," Ophelia said seriously. "Raymond, thank you."
After leaving the police station, Ophelia called Finnegan and told him about the situation.
Hearing that Lloyd would go into hiding in case of being captured, Finnegan became even more anxious.
Sure enough, after learning that Aria had turned herself in, Lloyd flew into a rage. "You can't even handle Aria. What are you all doing? What's the use of keeping you?"
The subordinates didn't dare to make a sound.
Anthony and Ruth kept their heads down, not daring to speak.
Lloyd raged. "Pass my order. By dawn tomorrow, Aria must be silenced, as well as Tate."
Anthony responded and left immediately.
Looking at his subordinates, who were not as competent as Aria and Tate, Lloyd became even angrier. "Get out, all of you."
"Yes, Master."
All the subordinates left, leaving only Lloyd and Warmie in the room.
