Chapter 730 Reaching a Deal

Lynn frowned. "It doesn't matter, as long as we get things straight, I don't care about these."

She had mentally prepared herself and couldn't just stand by.

When she arrived at the agreed place, Lynn went to the private room first, ordered coffee and fruit pastries.

After waiting for about twenty minutes, Lily finally arrived.

"Your performance went well this time," Lily said as she sat down. "Congratulations."

"Thank you," Lynn smiled. "Try this coffee, you used to like this one."

Lily didn't drink it and said, "Just say what you need to."

"You're here for Finnegan, right?" Lily said, "I mentioned divorce to him, and now you're looking for me. It must be about that."

"You mentioned divorce?" Lynn was shocked, "Why?"

Lynn knew the reason; she wanted to ask why Finnegan lost to Wayne.

Lily said calmly, "Just because we're married doesn't mean we can't divorce. If the love is gone, we break up. What's the problem?"

"No, Ophelia," Lynn was a bit emotional. "Divorce isn't a matter to be taken lightly. How can you discuss it so casually? If you didn't love him, why did you come back? You're torturing Finnegan, and he can't take it. Finnegan is such a proud man. You cheated, and he's still giving in. You can't hurt him like this."

Lily lowered her eyes. "I came back this time to make him give up on Ophelia, and the best way to do that is to change his heart."

"What do you mean?" Lynn didn't understand.

Lily stared at Lynn for a while and said, "I know you care about Finnegan too. You've seen what Finnegan is like without Ophelia."

"Living a life worse than death. Without Ophelia, he's living a life worse than death. Were it not for Warmie, I fear Finnegan would have joined Ophelia in death long ago." Lynn halted abruptly, a realization dawning on her. She looked at Lily in horror. "You!"

"I'm not Ophelia, I'm Lily," Lily said calmly. "I never lost my memory because I am Lily."

Upon hearing this, Lynn was shocked and stood up abruptly. She stared at Lily in front of her, finding it hard to accept.

She had suspected something was wrong with Lily before, always feeling something was off, but she didn't dare to say this wasn't Ophelia.

Now hearing Lily admit it herself, Lynn was deeply shaken and couldn't calm down for a long time.

"Then where is Ophelia?" Lynn asked with concern, "Where is the real Ophelia? Why do you look like Ophelia?"

"The real Ophelia is already dead," Lily spoke with honesty, stating, "I couldn't save her. Lynn, I know you care about Finnegan. Like Ophelia, you don't want to see Finnegan hurt. Instead of subjecting Finnegan to the agony of death, perhaps it's preferable for emotions to wane and for a natural separation to occur. This way, he can discover a new path in life."

Lynn slowly sat back down. Lily continued, "To become Ophelia, I found the best plastic surgeon and changed my face to look like Ophelia. Now that I've filed for divorce, he will be in pain, but after a while, everything will get better. This is Ophelia's wish."

"This is too outrageous." Lynn shook her head. "Lily, why should I believe you? If Ophelia is dead, where is her body?"

"Buried in the cemetery. Finnegan and Warmie have visited the grave, but Finnegan doesn't know it's Ophelia. He thinks it's me."

"I'm getting confused by you," Lynn said. "Aren't you alive? What do you mean you are and aren't Ophelia?"

Lily took a deep breath and said, "Lynn, you just need to know that Ophelia is dead. I won't harm Finnegan. Now we just need to wait for him to agree to the divorce, and then I'll leave."

"It's not that easy. What about Warmie? Finnegan loves Ophelia so much. He won't divorce." Lynn shook her head. "This is too outrageous."

"That's why I need your help," Lily said. "He will divorce me."

Lynn was curious. "Aren't you afraid I'll tell Finnegan that Ophelia is dead?"

"I know you won't say anything," Lily said confidently. "You've seen what Finnegan is like without Ophelia. You won't have the heart to do it."

Lynn frowned. "So what do you need me to do?"

After boss's baby, she Escape
