Chapter 272 Giving It All

Lynn held onto years of accumulated grievances, and when Celia accused her of harming Ophelia, she couldn't hold back any longer.

"Celia, you orchestrated all of this. Be careful, or no one will want anything to do with you," Lynn said with resentment.

"You were capable of such despicable acts when you plotted against me. Aren't you afraid I'll expose your true colors to everyone? Let them see how ugly you really are on the inside."

Celia sneered. "What does it have to do with me? Do you think you're a saint? I even let you come back this time, and I just bought you some supplements. I really misjudged you."

"Aren't you afraid I'll expose your intentions to Finnegan?" Lynn exploded. "How can you be so shameless?"

"He is my son. Even if there are conflicts between us, we are still family," Celia said. "I think you are useless to stay here. Leave my son as soon as possible."

Neither of them noticed that Finnegan had returned. Lynn was being disobedient, and Celia had decided to give up on using her. Lynn's eyes were red with anger. She had never seen anyone as shameless as Celia. Lynn was not good at arguing. She only appeared strong on the surface, but she was actually sensitive and emotional.

As they argued, Lynn's heartache flared up again, and she clutched her chest and struggled to breathe. In the restaurant, Finnegan understood what was happening and quickly stepped in.

"Celia," Finnegan called. Celia felt guilty when she saw Finnegan's return.

"Finnegan, when did you come back?" Finnegan signaled to Lynn to go back to the room and take her medicine first. Lynn glanced at Celia and then went back to the room, holding her chest.

After they left, Celia said, "Finnegan, I asked Lynn to leave New York. You're already married. What's the point of her coming back and causing trouble? Is Ophe pregnant?"

It was an abnormal thing to say. Finnegan said expressionlessly, "Stop pretending. You asked Lynn to come back. Don't think I don't know. You'd better not come here in the future. Just call if you have anything."

Celia knew she was in the wrong, avoided eye contact, and refused to admit it. "Lynn is talking nonsense. Why would I ask her to come back?"

Finnegan's expression turned cold. "Don't ruin our mother-son relationship."

"I'm your mother. I'm doing this for your good. I'm worried that Lynn will harm Ophe. Am I wrong?" Celia got angry. She wanted to use her anger to cover up her guilt.

"I don't care anymore. Do whatever you want." Celia left with guilt.

Lynn took her medicine in the room and didn't feel like eating dinner, so she rested in the room. When Magnus came out to eat, he didn't see Lynn and asked, "Where's Lynn?"

Ophe casually said, "Maybe she's tired and went to sleep."

Magnus, who had been in the room before, didn't know what had happened outside, so Ophe didn't need to repeat it.

Magnus looked at Ophe and Finnegan and said with some guilt, "I went to see my mom this afternoon. Ophe, Finnegan, do you already have the evidence in your hands?"

Ophe and Finnegan glanced at each other, and Ophe said, "We can state at any time to prove your innocence. It's just that your mom hasn't come yet, and I don't think she will come, so it's a bit less credible, but it's not a big problem."

Ophe didn't expect that the truth she knew back then in Addison would come in handy one day. Magnus smiled self-deprecatingly. "She won't come. She's thinking about Jett, who is paralyzed, and she can't let go of Serenity, who is five years old. Ophe, I finally know which part of me is like my mom, just this one, softhearted."

Finnegan said, "Those who are softhearted are also unfortunate."

Soft-heartedness was actually weakness, self-consumption, and self-pity. Finnegan didn't say it too directly.

Magnus nodded. "Yes, you're right. It's also my fault that it has become like this today. If I didn't go to find them, if I didn't bring them back, if I didn't care about them, then there would be nothing." Magnus looked at Ophe and Finnegan and said, "I figured it out. I'll issue a statement tomorrow. Also, I'll take back the house. Finnegan, lend me a few people tomorrow, and I'll go get the house."

Magnus couldn't drive Jett and Tobias away alone, so he could only borrow people from Finnegan. Ophe was a little worried. "Magnus, we can just do it, and you needn't go there."
