Chapter 686 Identical People

At dusk, Finneganstrolled at the spot where Ophelia had her accident, with Warmie in tow.

He didn't take Warmie out to sea. Instead, he stood on the shore, staring at the place where it all happened.

The sea breeze brushed against Finnegan's face. Warmie touched his cheek. "Daddy."

"Good girl, Warmie." Finnegan held her close, eyes fixed on the horizon.

Some fishermen were coming back with a big catch. They cheered, celebrating their haul.

After the typhoon, life moved on. The big catch meant good money. It was a sign of hope.

Lynn walked over. "It's cold. You should take Warmie back to the hotel."

They were staying at a seaside resort tonight.

"Okay." Finnegan replied softly, turning to head back to the hotel with Warmie in his arms.

Not long after he left, a motorcycle pulled up to the pier.

The rider was Gavin Cooper, around twenty-five or twenty-six, with a woman on the back.

The motorcycle stopped, and the woman got off, taking off her helmet to reveal a stunning face.

She looked just like Ophelia.

Gavin said, "Lily, I'll park the bike. You go find Dad on the boat."

"Okay." Lily Cooper smiled, hung the helmet on the bike, and walked towards the pier with a bright smile.

People were getting off the boat, greeting Lily warmly. "Lily, you're here. Dylan's still on the boat."

"Lily's getting prettier by the day."

"Dylan's got it made with such a gorgeous daughter."

Lily smiled, "Thank you."

She boarded the ship, and a few people exchanged glances.

"I don't remember Lily being this lovely before."

"It's amazing how a serious illness can change someone."

"Lily's really lucky. Before the typhoon, Dylan said she went out to sea alone. We thought she wouldn't make it back, but here she is over half a month later."

The group dispersed, still murmuring.

Lily walked up to a middle-aged man collecting fish. "Dylan, it's a big catch today."

The man was Dylan Cooper, a fisherman with over thirty years of experience.

"Lily, what brings you here?" Dylan handed his work over to others. "Where's Gavin?"

"Parking the bike." Lily rolled up her sleeves to help. "This catch can feed us for a year. You can take a break for a while."

Dylan laughed, "No, I need to work a few more years to save some money for you and Gavin."

Lily looked at Dylan's graying hair. "Dylan, I'm going to Yorkhaven."

Dylan already knew. "When are you leaving?"

"Tomorrow afternoon," Lily said. "I promised someone."

"Go ahead," Dylan said. "I trust you. Be safe."

Dylan looked at the radiant Lily, feeling a bit dazed. He couldn't see any trace of the old Lily in her face.

Gavin, having parked the bike, boarded the boat just in time to hear Lily say she was going to Yorkhaven. "Lily, you just recovered from a serious illness. Why are you going to Yorkhaven? You were in the hospital for half a year. If you're going, I'll go with you."

"I'm fine now. I don't need your company. Besides, what about your girlfriend?" Lily smiled, "It's settled."

Gavin wanted to say more, but Dylan cut in, "Gavin, Collect the fish. We need to get them to the market before they spoil."

Dylan and Gavin worked, not letting Lily lift a finger, afraid she'd get dirty.

After collecting the fish, it was getting dark.

Gavin took Lily to the market. Since she was going on a long trip, she needed to buy some things, and the market had cheap goods.

After shopping, they went to a seafood barbecue stall to eat.

Gavin said, "Lily, why do you like eating this now? You didn't before."

Lily said, "I don't know. I just like it now. The food's good, and the market's lively."

Meanwhile, on the other side of the market, Finnegan, Warmie, and Lynn were also walking over.

Ophelia used to love eating barbecue.

After boss's baby, she Escape
