Chapter 357 The Revelation of Origins
Finnegan's tone was icy, filled with intense murderous intent.
Niamh completely believed that Finnegan could really chop off all her fingers to feed the golden python.
Niamh curled up in terror, forgetting to feel pain and to cry.
Blood flowed profusely from the missing finger, and the pain grew stronger.
"Finnegan." Caspian couldn't help but shout.
It was real; he had truly cut Niamh's finger.
Finnegan ignored Caspian and sat down at the table, looking lazy. The golden python was full but seemed unsatisfied, opening its mouth wide to scare Niamh. After the scare, it obediently coiled aside, watching her.
Without Finnegan's command, the golden python wouldn't harm Niamh.
But even in this situation, it was enough to scare Niamh out of her wits.
Finnegan glanced at his watch and said coldly, "You have three seconds left. Whether you can keep your next finger depends entirely on you."
"I didn't." Niamh covered her severed finger, still trying to lie.
Finnegan pulled out a fruit knife, ready to act again.
Niamh shrank back in fear. "I'll talk."
Niamh didn't dare to speak too loudly, fearing the golden python might eat her in one bite.
Niamh stared at Finnegan, eyes full of terror, body trembling. "I was picked up by you guys at the police station entrance. If something happens to me, you won't be able to explain it. The police will definitely know it was you."
"So what?" Finnegan sneered coldly. "You would just be eaten by the golden python. Caspian and I failed to save you. By then, to give the Parks Family an explanation, I'll bring a bowl of snake soup to your grave."
The implication was that it was an accident, which wouldn't affect him.
Niamh was speechless. At that moment, she realized that as long as Finnegan wanted to do something, her little schemes were completely useless.
Finnegan's eyes darkened. "Niamh, you can continue lying to me. Three seconds are up."
As he finished speaking, Finnegan grabbed Niamh's hand. Just as he was about to cut, Niamh hurriedly said, "I did it. I admit it. I'll tell you everything."
However, it was too late.
Finnegan didn't waste words with Niamh. Three seconds per finger, not a second more.
Another little finger was chopped off, and the golden python swallowed it in one bite very quickly.
This time, Niamh fainted from the pain.
Caspian found it cruel. "Finnegan, she has confessed. Shouldn't we let someone bandage her first?"
Finnegan's eyes were blood-red. He picked up a glass of water and splashed it on Niamh's face.
Niamh woke up, screaming and crying in fear. "Finnegan, I was wrong. I was really wrong. I won't dare anymore. I promise I won't trouble Ophelia again, never again."
Finnegan casually threw the glass on the table, his whole body exuding a violent aura, his voice cold. "You drugged Ophelia back then. I spared you once. Two fingers are just the interest you paid. The principal is still unpaid."
Hearing this, Niamh felt utterly desperate. She kowtowed to Finnegan, admitting her mistake. "I was really wrong, Finnegan. Believe me. I won't dare anymore. The Parks Family and Abbott's Family are prestigious families. My grandfather and your grandmother were childhood sweethearts. I am the only heir of the Parks Family. You can't let the Parks Family end."
"You know very well whether you are the daughter of the Parks Family." Finnegan coldly pressed his eyebrows, lifting Niamh's chin with the fruit knife.
The cold blade was covered with Niamh's blood, and the strong smell of blood made Niamh nauseous.
But these were far less intimidating than Finnegan's earlier words, which was the real soul-crushing blow, more terrifying than losing two fingers.
Niamh felt completely doomed, her blood freezing. 'If Finnegan knows my origins, Dovie will know that too. I would have nothing left.' She thought.
Caspian was also surprised. "Finnegan, is Niamh really not Dovie's daughter?"
"No, I am Dovie's daughter." Niamh was terrified, emphasizing. "I am the only heir of the Parks Family."
