Chapter 379 Seizing Power Opportunistically

"Dovie?"
The assistant came in and found Dovie unconscious on the floor, immediately calling for an ambulance.

Soon, the ambulance took Dovie to the hospital, and the assistant also called Natalie to inform her about Dovie's fainting.

At the hospital, after emergency treatment, Dovie woke up and lay weakly on the hospital bed.

Natalie rushed to the hospital. "Dovie, what happened? What did the doctor say?"

"The doctor said it might be due to exhaustion." Dovie felt completely drained. "We'll know more once the test results come out."

Natalie was still very worried. After all, Dovie was her family. She was jealous of Dovie taking over Parks Corporation and dissatisfied with George, but if something really happened to Dovie, she would be very anxious.

"Dovie, you have to take care of yourself. You're my only sister. If something happens to you, what will I do?" Natalie tightly held Dovie's hand, showing a rare moment of sisterly affection.

"I'm fine." Dovie forced a smile to comfort Natalie.

Natalie said, "I called Niamh. She's on her way and is very worried about you. You really scared me."

Soon, the test results came out, and the attending physician came into the room.

Natalie asked, "Doctor, what's wrong with my sister?"

"The test results are out. According to the report, the patient has multiple abnormal indicators, significant liver damage, and damage to the heart and lungs." the doctor said. "In this condition, she must avoid stress, get proper rest, and pay attention to her diet. There's a risk of stroke at best, and at worst, it could be life-threatening."

"So serious?" Natalie was very surprised. "My sister gets a physical check-up every year. The last one was fine, with normal indicators. How did it get this bad?"

Food incompatibility can't be detected medically, let alone Niamh constantly changing the types of food she made for Dovie, with different incompatible foods every day.

The doctor said, "This is related to the patient's lifestyle, eating habits, and age. As people age, their immunity and repair abilities naturally decline. She needs appropriate exercise and keep a light diet. She must avoid stress and maintain a good mood."

After hearing the doctor's words, Natalie looked at Dovie and advised, "I've told you not to worry so much. Learn to let go and let Niamh manage the company. Health is the most important thing. You've been pushing yourself too hard all these years."
Dovie also felt her body was failing. She was willing but unable to manage the company. However, she had some reservations about handing it over to Niamh.

After the doctor left, Dovie said, "Nowadays, doctors like to exaggerate and scare patients. I'm fine. I need some rest."

Seeing Dovie's reluctance, Natalie felt a bit resentful.

Niamh arrived shortly after, fully aware of the situation but acting very concerned in front of Dovie. "Mom, you scared me to death. You must listen to the doctor and stop overworking. Ricky and I are getting married. How can I be at ease with you like this?"

"It's nothing serious. I don't even need to stay in the hospital." Dovie said, still worried about Ophelia. "Niamh, talk to the doctor later. I don't want to stay in the hospital. I'll go home after the IV."

"Dovie, there's no need to rush. Stay in the hospital for observation." Niamh said with a worried expression. "What if you faint again?"

Natalie also advised, "Stay a few more days. The company won't collapse without you for a few days. Isn't Niamh here? You're in such condition and still holding onto power. Are you afraid Niamh will take over the company and seize your power?"
Natalie spoke bluntly, and Niamh also looked at Dovie, waiting for her answer.

"I didn't think that." Dovie sighed. "Alright, I'll stay for two more days for observation. Niamh, I'll rely on you for the company's affairs these two days."

"Mom, don't worry. Once you're better, you can return to the company and still be in charge. I'm your daughter. How could I seize your power?" Niamh smiled and held Dovie's hand. "Mom, just focus on getting better this time."

Niamh leaned on Dovie's shoulder, a sinister look flashing in her eyes. This time, she intended to make sure Dovie rested thoroughly.
After boss's baby, she Escape
