Chapter 496 Family Reunion
Natalie pretended to faint and quickly regained consciousness, mumbling that she wanted to see Niamh.
Niamh entered the ward again, and Ophelia wanted to go in, but Natalie, in a fierce tone, said, "I don't want to see you leave."
Natalie naturally didn't want to see Ophelia, and she even regretted not directly killing Ophelia back then.
With Ophelia's stroke of luck, she managed to retrieve what belonged to her, causing Natalie's years of planning to fail.
Ophelia stood at the door, refusing to leave, and intentionally said, "Natalie, I forgot to tell you something. My dad is still alive. If he finds out that you stole me back then, he will come after you soon, and not even the police can stop him."
This was not a lie. Wilder, as a prince of F country and a member of the royal family, and with Natalie committing the crime first, the police dared not offend the royal family of France.
Upon hearing this, Natalie couldn't believe it. "It's impossible. Your dad has been dead for over twenty years. How could he still be alive? Ophelia, you're lying."
Ophelia didn't say anything more. She just gave Niamh a meaningful look and left.
That look sent a shiver down Niamh's spine.
The police wouldn't allow Niamh and Natalie to meet alone. Landon had to be present, and there were things Natalie couldn't say in his presence.
Natalie could only hold Niamh's hand and repeatedly instruct, "Manage the company well, live a good life, and listen to Jesse. He is worth trusting."
Natalie was trying to dim Niamh's shine, as otherwise, trouble could easily arise.
Niamh didn't understand Natalie's intentions and couldn't let go of her hatred and resentment.
After Ophelia left the hospital, she called Finnegan and informed him of Natalie's critical condition.
Even if Natalie really died from her illness, Ophelia wouldn't find it satisfying. What she wanted was for Niamh to face legal consequences.
With someone backing Niamh up, Natalie was willing to take the blame herself to protect Niamh. Even with strong suspicions, there was no physical or testimonial evidence.
In the face of the law, there was really no way to deal with Niamh.
Ophelia returned to the Parks family and picked up Wilder. Wilder was hosting tonight and invited Celia and Jude to dinner.
When Ophelia informed Celia and Jude, they didn't know what was going on. They just knew that someone was treating them to dinner.
In the Lotus Hotel, Wilder, immersed in sorrow, had booked a private room here early on and was waiting with Ophelia for the two to arrive. Upon receiving the notification, Finnegan was also heading toward the hotel.
Celia and Jude arrived first, and upon entering the private room, they found Ophelia and the prince of France inside, which left them puzzled.
"Ophelia, who is this?" Jude asked in confusion.
Celia said, "Ophelia, are you saying that the person treating us to dinner is the prince of France?"
Before Ophelia could respond, Wilder stood up and bowed deeply to Celia and Jude, which surprised them.
Jude quickly returned the bow. "Hello."
Jude thought this was a royal greeting.
Celia also bowed, knowing that Wilder was of royal status, and they had to reciprocate.
Ophelia found Celia and Jude's reactions amusing. "Mom, Dad, you don't have to be so formal. We're all family."
Family?
Celia and Jude were even more puzzled, exchanging glances.
Wilder said seriously, "I am Wilder. I married Dovie years ago, and you both attended the wedding. Today, I am not a prince of the royal family, just Wilder, Ophelia's father, and Dovie's husband."
This revelation shocked Celia and Jude.
Jude was so surprised that he stuttered, "Y-y-you are Wilder?"
Celia was also shocked. "The Wilder who died over twenty years ago? How is that possible? You look completely different now. Even if you have aged, your appearance shouldn't have changed so drastically."
Jude added, "The Wilder we knew was just an ordinary person. Otherwise, he wouldn't have joined the Parks family or been you."
At that moment, the door to the private room opened again, and Finnegan walked in, saying, "Mom, Dad, he is indeed Ophelia's biological father and a prince of the royal family."
Wilder was not an ordinary prince but a close relative of the ruler of France, holding significant power. If Wilder desired to rule, he could directly overthrow the current ruler.
