Chapter 193 The Wolf Suddenly Went Vegetarian
Humans had mouths, not only for eating but also for speaking.
If there was any doubt, it should be asked directly.
Ophe believed only part of what Celia said. To confirm whether it was true or not, she could ask Finnegan herself.
If it were in the past, Ophe would have felt embarrassed to ask, but now she felt very comfortable doing so.
Ophe stared at Finnegan with a faint smile on her lips.
But Finnegan felt that this smile today was a bit chilling as if there was a wrong answer and he would have to sleep on the couch.
Although Ophe's question seemed simple, it could send a challenge to a duel.
Finnegan pondered and said, "At that time, I wanted to move out of the old house, so I randomly chose a housing development. I thought the layout was nice, so I bought it."
"Oh... I see," Ophe smiled and served him a piece of fish. "Taste it, and it is delicious and tender."
Finnegan felt the danger dissipate and asked, "What did my mother say when she came?"
Ophe served a bowl of chicken soup and said, "Let's talk about your ex-girlfriend. I asked her who was prettier, me or your ex-girlfriend, and your mom angrily walked away."
As for Finnegan's story with his ex-girlfriend, Ophe wisely didn't ask.
'Won't that cause trouble?' She thought.
Finnegan lowered his head and also took a sip of soup, saying, "I don't have an ex-girlfriend, only you."
Ophe looked at him in astonishment and blurted out, "Do you actually have a physical problem?"
'Having lived for thirty years, not having even an ex-girlfriend seems unbelievable. It's also quite a failure, considering he's a boss. He doesn't even have a woman. That would be surprising in the circle of the boss,' she pondered.
Finnegan raised an eyebrow, a hint of playfulness at the corner of his mouth. "Ophe, are you not aware if I have a physical problem? It seems our previous encounters weren't Intense enough. I'll deepen that impression later. For now, drink more chicken soup and replenish yourself."
Ophe couldn't help it and sprayed the chicken soup from her mouth.
She really dug her own grave, didn't she?
Finnegan calmly handed her a tissue and coldly hummed, "Regretting now? It's too late."
Ophe lost for words.
'He must be a mind reader. He knows whatever I'm thinking,' she brooded.
Ophe silently drank another bowl of chicken soup. She had promised to reward him on the phone during the day, so she needed to eat more and replenish her energy.
However, that night, Finnegan didn't make a move on her. He only hugged her and slept innocently.
Ophe couldn't sleep and asked in the dim light, "No push-ups tonight?"
Finnegan had one leg draped over her, pressing her down and his hand around her waist. With his eyes closed, his voice was hoarse. "Sleep."
Ophe was trapped tightly by him, afraid she would run away. She was still hoping he would do something, but soon, she heard the steady sound of his breathing.
Finnegan fell asleep.
'Such an early rest today, is it real?' She mulled over.
Ophe started to wonder where she had gone wrong and if she had upset Finnegan. Was it because she mentioned his ex-girlfriend?
As Ophe pondered, sleepiness took over, and she didn't know when she fell asleep.
In the following days, Finnegan didn't touch Ophe at all. Before, they would be intimate multiple times a day, but now it had been several days without any intimate moments.
The wolf suddenly went vegetarian, which was naturally strange.
Ophe began to suspect that Finnegan might not be able to perform anymore.
It must be because of excessive indulgence in the past; hence, he needed rest.
Soon, time flew by.
Niamh had been detained for fifteen days, and Dovie went to the detention center early to pick her up.
When Niamh walked out of the detention center, she had lost weight and looked exhausted. Dovie's heart ached to see her, and she immediately stepped forward, saying, "Niamh, I am here to take you home. You'll be fine."
Niamh did not get angry with Dovie this time, nor did she make a scene. She quietly followed and got in the car.
During the journey, Dovie showed concern while Niamh stared out the window, saying nothing.
The more Niamh acted this way, the more uncomfortable Dovie felt.
Upon arriving home, Niamh ignored Dovie and went straight to her room.
"Niamh..." Niamh didn't react to Dovie, as the bedroom door was slammed shut.
While Dovie was feeling upset, the nanny approached and said, "President Natalie, Natalie is back."
"Natalie is back?" Dovie quickly wiped her eyes.
Just as she spoke, a woman who looked somewhat like Dovie hurriedly walked in from outside.
This person was Natalie Parks, Dovie's sister.
Dovie smiled and went forward to greet her, "Natalie, how did you come back from Europe without telling me in advance..."
"I heard Niamh got into trouble, so I rushed back to take a look," Natalie said. "Dovie, what happened? Why was Niamh detained? Where is she now, and which detention center?"
"She just got back. But she's upstairs," Dovie said, "This is not something that can be explained in a few words. Niamh is mad at me. Natalie, can you go upstairs and look after her for me?"
Ten years ago, it was Natalie who helped find Niamh.
