Chapter 712 Lily's Affair

Those words were super flirtatious.

Lynn was instantly confused, wondering who Lily was talking to.

"Ophelia," Lynn called out on purpose.

Lily looked flustered and quickly hung up.

Lynn played it cool, "Who were you calling?"

"Just a prank call, wrong number," Lily lied. "How about we grab some coffee? Shopping's been exhausting."

Lily's response made Lynn even more suspicious.

She had heard it clearly, and Lily's expression didn't match her story.

There was only one possibility: Lily was lying.

'Could Lily have had a change of heart? She did say Finnegan's love was suffocating. Is that why she's acting this way?' Lynn wondered.

The Lily in front of her was the amnesiac Ophelia, who didn't remember her past with Finnegan. Finnegan's intense watchfulness could easily cause resentment.

Thinking this, Lynn said, "You haven't bought any clothes yet. Done shopping?"

"Let's grab that coffee and look around later," Lily smiled. "I saw a coffee shop on the third floor."

"Okay," Lynn agreed, wanting to gauge Lily's feelings about Finnegan.

At the coffee shop, Lily ordered juice instead of coffee.

Lynn asked, "No coffee?"

"Doctor's orders. Juice is fine," Lily replied. "Finnegan mentioned you have another performance coming up."

"Yeah, I'm leaving next week. I'll be gone for about half a month," Lynn smiled. "Why not come along if you have time?"

"Finnegan wouldn't agree," Lily's face showed distress at the mention of his name.

Lynn asked, "Ophelia, it's been so long. Haven't you remembered anything? Finnegan's a great guy. Even if you can't remember, it shouldn't be hard to fall for him again."

"Finnegan is a good man," Lily said, holding her juice cup. "Lynn, since I don't know anyone else in Yorkhaven, you're my go-to for girl talk! I get flashes of memories, but they're not enough to make me feel anything for Finnegan."

"You don't like him?" Lynn was shocked. "Then in the past six months..."

"We've been sleeping in separate rooms. I can't share a bed with someone I don't know. I've tried, but at the crucial moment, I just can't," Lily said, distressed. "I wish I wasn't Ophelia."

Lynn was stunned.

'It's been over six months, and they're still in separate rooms,' she thought.

Lynn was speechless.

"He'd go to a monastery for you, even risk his life. You two have a daughter, Warmie. How could it be like this?"

Lily squeezed her hands. "What Finnegan has done is touching, which is why I stayed. Lynn, don't tell Finnegan about this. I'm just venting."

"Okay," Lynn agreed, but she couldn't calm down.

They had their coffee and shopped a bit more. Lynn noticed several times that Lily was on her phone, chatting with someone.

Her gut told her it wasn't Finnegan.

While they were still shopping, Lily suddenly said she had something to do and had to leave.

Lynn didn't stop her and offered to take Lily home.

Lily insisted on taking a cab herself.

Afterward, Lily left first, and Lynn followed. She saw Lily get into a black SUV by the roadside.

Lynn drove and followed for about ten minutes, watching Lily arrive at a hotel. The car parked, and Lily got out. A man got out from the driver's seat, and they walked into the hotel together.

Lynn's heart skipped a beat. 'Is Lily cheating on Finnegan? Should I tell him?' she thought.

If she was in the wrong and caused a scene, it could make Finnegan feel pretty awkward.

Having lost Ophelia once, Finnegan had completely changed, centering his life around her.

In the end, Lynn decided not to tell Finnegan.

Back home, Lynn was preoccupied, her mind filled with thoughts of Lily and the man entering the hotel.

After boss's baby, she Escape
