Chapter 464 Ultimate Romance

Ophelia had been thinking about this all the way, feeling it was very likely.

She discovered recipes on Niamh's bookshelf in the Parks family's house. There was no description of food incompatibility in the recipes, but her suspicion couldn't be dispelled.

Ophelia added, "I asked and found out that the food incompatibility can't be tested. It slowly damages the body, and over time, health problems arise."

This was more vicious than poisoning, extremely insidious and malicious.

Ophelia also looked up food incompatibility. It was indeed, as Randy said, that food incompatibility was really frightening.
One wouldn't know how they died, and this kind of damage was irreversible.

It was akin to cooking a piece of meat in a pot until it was done, and no matter how adept the culinary skills might be, it couldn't be restored to its original freshness.

This was also why Dovie couldn't be saved. Even without Natalie's final step of plotting, Dovie wouldn't have survived.

"Ophe, actually, I had someone investigate it too. I suspected before that Dovie's illness was caused by dietary habits. There were no clues originally, but with what you said, this possibility makes sense."

Finnegan said, "However, now Natalie has been sentenced, unless the case is retried. But these are just speculations, not conducive to a retrial." Ophelia understood Finnegan's meaning. "I thought Natalie would appeal before, but she didn't. She just accepted it and obeyed the judgment. Now I'm worried that the real murderer isn't Natalie, but Niamh. If she is the one who killed my mother, she has escaped punishment."

Previously, Warmie almost got lost in the hospital, and Finnegan originally thought it might be related to Niamh, intending to eliminate Niamh on the grounds of that.

But it turned out that it had nothing to do with Niamh.

Now that Niamh had taken over Natalie's business without causing trouble again. There were no breakthroughs in the case of Sybil's death, according to Landon. Unless Niamh makes a mistake, she is just a suspect.

"Now that there's a speculation, we can be prepared for things that may happen. Ophe, don't worry." Finnegan gently held Ophelia's arm, his gaze tender. "So many things have taken place this year. Ophe, I want to take you to a tour. I owe you a wedding and a honeymoon. Let's hold the wedding next spring."

"Now that Warmie was born, why bother with a wedding? It's unnecessary." Ophelia was very touched. "I know you are wealthy. But As Seraphina and Magnus are no longer with us, and my mom has passed away, I am even less eager for a wedding where genuine blessings are lacking. It's a mere formality."
A woman didn't necessarily have to wear a wedding dress. Marrying the right person was crucial.

And she married the right one.

Now, the Abbott family had fully accepted her. She had a loving husband and a lovely daughter. She didn't need more.

Considering things that happened to Ophelia over the past months, Finnegan decided not to bring this up at this time. Suddenly, Finnegan made a decision, saying, "Tonight, I'll take you to a place. Just you and me."

For the past three months since Warmie was born, as Ophelia had not fully recovered, they hadn't had any private space as a couple.

Today, Finnegan decided to leave Warmie with Celia and take Ophelia out for some intimate time at night.

Celia was more than happy to do so. After a call from Finnegan, she immediately came to take Warmie away, reminding the two as she left. "You two enjoy yourselves. Don't worry, I'll take care of Lucky."

Ophelia blushed, giving Finnegan a secret glare.

With Celia taking Warmie away, Finnegan took Ophelia out as well.

Although they had been living in a standalone villa, the romance of staying in a hotel was different.

When Celia came to take Warmie away, Finnegan had already instructed Linda to book a hotel and set it up.

Linda was particularly experienced in arranging this, as only women could understand what they wanted most in terms of romance, which was the feeling of being held dear.

Pushing open the door to the hotel room, Finnegan and Ophelia were greeted by a floor covered in flower petals, white, red, and pink. As the door opened and a breeze blew in, the petals fluttered up, creating a beautiful moment.

Fresh flowers, music, red wine, and excellent food were all essential elements of romance.

Finnegan held her hand and asked, "Is this a bit cheesy?"

Ophelia smiled and shook her head. "Not at all. It's great."

Finnegan closed the door behind him. In the ambient light, the atmosphere became intimate.

Finnegan gazed deeply at Ophelia, caressed her face, and slowly leaned in to kiss her.
After boss's baby, she Escape
