Chapter 598 Warmie's Assist

Finnegan was deliberately keeping Lloyd on edge, making him nervous.

Landon stated, "No, the surveillance footage didn't reveal the person's face. We found that Tate should be one of the higher-ranking assassins in the Moonlight Gate organization. However, she failed at that time, and her disguise was inadequate, which puzzled us."

Finnegan said, "Could Tate have wanted to be caught by the police?"

"I have the same suspicion," Landon said. "Currently, Tate is the most thoroughly known among the Moonlight Gate assassins. Mr. Abbott, you mentioned having information on Tate. Where is she?"

"I don't know where she is now, but I know who knows where she is," Finnegan said. "Go find Caspian."

"Very well, Mr. Abbott, your clues are valuable. We will capture her as soon as possible and completely dismantle the harmful Moonlight Gate organization," Landon said righteously. "Otherwise, there will be more people die at the hands of Moonlight Gate every year, and more become their killing tools."

"Thank you," Finnegan said. "Looking forward to your good news. By the way, this time you must keep a close watch. Deacon was silenced before, and Tate might meet the same fate."

"Don't worry about that. No matter how powerful Moonlight Gate is, they won't be able to silence anyone from my hands this time. I won't disturb you any longer, Mr. Abbott," Landon said as he got up to leave.

Lloyd couldn't sit still anymore as Tate was exposed and had to be silenced.

As soon as Landon left, Lloyd said, "Finnegan, I won't disturb your rest any longer. I'll head back now."

"Lloyd, this is your first time here. You can't leave without sharing a meal," Finnegan insisted. "Susan will blame me if she finds out."

Lloyd was anxious inside; staying for a meal would delay things.

"Finnegan, maybe next time..."

Finnegan interrupted him, "Lloyd, if you don't stay for a meal, it means you look down on me."

With those words, Lloyd couldn't find a suitable reason to leave.

Reluctantly, Lloyd said, "Finnegan, what are you talking about? Alright, I'll stay for lunch before leaving."

"That's settled," Finnegan said with a smile, asking Rachel to prepare more dishes for lunch.

Finnegan had to stall Lloyd. Even if Tate fell into the hands of the police, there was still a chance of survival.

If Moonlight Gate found Tate first, she would be dead for sure.

As Tate had lost her memory, her strength had weakened, too.

Finnegan couldn't let Lloyd tip off Moonlight Gate to send assassins to deal with Tate. Seeing Lloyd take out his phone to contact Moonlight Gate, he deliberately got up and walked over to Lloyd.

"Lloyd, make yourself at home here. Feel free," Finnegan said, motioning for Rachel to fetch Ophelia downstairs.

Since he was blind, Lloyd could openly contact Moonlight Gate, but he could only pretend not to see. So, he needed Ophelia to come down.

"Alright, Mr. Abbott, I'll go right away," Rachel said.

Even though Lloyd knew Finnegan was blind, with him standing right there, he cautiously refrained from contacting Anthony to deal with Tate.

Soon, Ophelia came downstairs holding Warmie. Hearing the sound, Finnegan said, "Ophelia, keep Lloyd company. I'll use the restroom. Mr. Benedict was just here and found out that Tate is with Moonlight Gate. The police are already on their way to capture her. We need to be careful from now on."

Deliberately, Finnegan conveyed this to Ophelia, who understood she needed to keep a close watch on Lloyd.

"Tate is with Moonlight Gate? That's terrifying," Ophelia said, her acting skills on par with an Oscar winner. "Luckily, the police found out. You go to the restroom; I'll take care of Lloyd."

Warmie had been scared by Lloyd once, but as a child, she didn't remember. Seeing Lloyd, she still smiled happily.

Finnegan made his way upstairs to contact Caspian.

Ophelia sat beside Lloyd, holding Warmie, and said with a smile, "Lloyd, have some fruit."

With Finnegan and Ophelia working together, Lloyd could only hold back his frustration and forced a smile. "Ophelia, I need to use the restroom too. Where is it?"

Ophelia knew Lloyd was looking for an opportunity to leave. She couldn't let him out of her sight, or more accurately, she couldn't let him have the chance to tip off anyone.

Just as she was thinking of how to stop him, Warmie reached out her chubby hand to grab the phone in Lloyd's hand.
