Chapter 660 Earning Some Pocket Money

Harold took off his Bluetooth headset and said to Finnegan, "This mission is a bit risky. The typhoon will make landfall in half an hour. We need more money."

Finnegan was speechless.

The rumored Shadow Syndicate, known for their decisiveness and wealth, seemed out of character to be asking for more money.

If it were any other organization taking this job, they would have backed out at the mention of a typhoon.

But it was the Shadow Syndicate, confident they could rescue the person before the typhoon hit.

Finnegan agreed, "No problem, money is not an issue."

Harold kindly explained, "Hey, my wife's birthday is around the corner. I'm hustling out here to score some extra dough for her gift."

The Lopez family members were famously devoted to their wives.

Men who love their wives couldn't be bad.

Harold took the job because he knew Finnegan was known for spoiling his wife, and also because Moonlight Gate's development was hindering the Shadow Syndicate, so he decided to help out.

Finnegan said, "Happy birthday to your wife."

Harold replied, "Thanks."

As they chatted, the boat accelerated towards Lloyd's location.

The wind grew stronger, howling in their ears.

As the boat drew closer, Finnegan's worry grew.

On Lloyd's end, following Susan's reprimand, he was in a sour mood. Warmie, no longer fond of him, ceased clinging to Lloyd, further fueling his frustration.

He had already ordered the Moonlight Gate assassins in Yorkhaven to target Jude and Celia.

Lloyd had completely lost his mind, with only one thought in his head: to utterly destroy the Abbott family.

The boat was almost in international waters, just one mile away. Once they entered, the danger would double.

Historically, pirates still roamed the seas, especially in international waters. If anything happened, no one would come to help.

To escape police pursuit, Lloyd had to enter international waters, and Moonlight Gate's underworld reputation was enough to make small-time pirates back off.

The sea was pitch black, and Ophelia, on the lower deck, felt an inexplicable fear of the deep sea.

Once they fall into the deep sea, there's no coming back.

Susan was feeling on edge. She was twiddling with her bead string when it unexpectedly snapped, causing the beads to scatter all over. Warmie burst into loud tears instantly.

Ophelia was startled by the crying and quickly tried to soothe her, "Warmie, don't cry."

The last time Warmie cried like this was when Finnegan was in trouble, and Ophelia couldn't calm her down no matter what.

Ophelia grew increasingly anxious, fearing something bad would happen.

Susan said, "Maybe she's hungry. I'll ask Lloyd to bring some food."

"Okay," Ophelia said, unable to calm Warmie.

The boat rocked up and down on the sea, and Ophelia glanced at the sea, her eyelids twitching.

Just as Susan went to get someone to bring food, there was movement around the boat.

The Shadow Syndicate had silently approached, diving underwater and climbing up from below the boat.

Lloyd was on the first floor, with guards on the deck and around the boat.

The Shadow Syndicate climbed aboard, silently taking out the guards on the deck. Their main goal was to rescue the people and leave quickly.

If the typhoon hit, they wouldn't be able to leave.

Many of Moonlight Gate's people were silently taken out. Lloyd was about to rest when Anthony said, "Sir, rest early."

Anthony closed the door and left.

Just a few steps away, he sensed something was wrong. He smelled blood in the air.

Anthony went to check the deck and was suddenly ambushed. He reacted quickly and dodged.

The two engaged in a swift fight, and Anthony shouted, "Master, there are pirates."

Anthony thought the attackers were pirates, not knowing they were from the Shadow Syndicate.

His shout immediately alerted everyone on the boat.

But he only managed to say one sentence before he was attacked. A member of the Shadow Syndicate broke his spine with a single punch.

Gunfire erupted, and Ophelia's heart tightened at the sound outside. "Grandma, hide with Warmie. I'll go check."
After boss's baby, she Escape
