Chapter 406 Life and Death Game

Celia didn't want Dovie to have any regrets, so she promised Dovie in the hospital.
Now, she felt pity for the child who was lost outside.

The fake daughter was about to inherit the family fortune and the company, while the real daughter was still nowhere to be found. Celia thought it was pitiful.

Ophelia understood clearly. It seemed Finnegan had guessed right. Dovie had known all along. However, for the sake of the bigger picture, to protect the Parks Family's reputation and bloodline, Dovie didn't expose Niamh's identity.

Jude was surprised. "I didn't expect this. We need to find the real heir of the Parks Family quickly. Otherwise, if Dovie passes away, it would be such a regret."
Ophelia didn't dare to say much. Without the test results, she could only remain silent for now.

Old Abbott said, "I told you that Niamh was a fake. You all, with your eyes, are not as sharp as mine."

Celia and Jude were left speechless.

Celia said, "Mom, when did you ever say that?"

Jude echoed, "Mom, you're only saying this now because you know the truth. By the way, Dovie's daughter has been missing for over twenty years. Where do we even start looking?"

Celia said, "I don't know either." She had agreed, but the world was so big she really didn't know where to start.

At this moment, Ophelia's phone rang, so she didn't participate in the discussion about finding the real heir of the Parks Family. She took her phone and went upstairs to her room to answer the call.

The call was from Magnus. This was the second time Magnus had called since Ophelia went to France.

Magnus had called because there was a turn in the case of Finnegan assaulting Mary, and he wanted to inquire about the situation.

"Ophelia, are you okay?" Magnus asked over the phone, "Is Finnegan alright?"

"He's just out on bail and can't leave France for now." Ophelia said, "It shouldn't be a big problem. How about you?"

"I'm back in New York." Magnus said. "I'm fine."

"You're back?" Ophelia was pleasantly surprised. "That's good. Are you still living at the same place?"

"I've moved and changed jobs." Magnus said. "Ophelia, you don't need to worry about me. Take care of yourself."

Magnus had returned not only to shake off the Tobias family but also to find the culprit behind Seraphina's death.

Ophelia understood. Because of Seraphina's death, there was always a barrier between her and Magnus.

"Okay, take care of yourself." Ophelia said, not asking more.

After a brief conversation, they hung up.

Shortly after Ophelia returned, Caspian came to inquire about the situation, Rhodes called to express concern, and Lynn visited the old mansion in person.

Celia still didn't like Lynn. She feared Lynn would hurt Ophelia. Whenever Ophelia and Lynn talked, Celia would occasionally walk by to keep an eye on them.

After Lynn left, Celia seriously told Ophelia, "Don't get too close to Lynn. Be careful. After all, she is Finnegan's ex-girlfriend. You're too careless."

Ophelia was speechless.
"Finnegan and Lynn never had anything." Ophelia said, staring at Celia. "You owe Lynn an apology."

"Why do I owe her?" Celia said righteously, "She took the money back then. I don't owe her anything. Besides, I warned her to stay away from my son, but she didn't listen."

In Celia's view, Lynn deserved it. She never thought it was her fault.
Ophelia didn't argue with Celia. She was worried about Dovie's illness and anxious about Finnegan's situation in France.

"I want to rest for a while."

When Celia heard Ophelia wanted to rest, she said, "I won't disturb you. Get some sleep, and don't tire yourself out."

After Celia left, Ophelia called Finnegan to ask what he was doing.

In France, at an underground casino, in the inner room, Finnegan and Morgan stood on either side of a long rectangular table, each flanked by bodyguards. Atticus stood behind Finnegan. From the moment he entered the underground casino, he didn't expect to leave alive.

Finnegan and Morgan were gambling, but it was a life-and-death game, not for money, but for their lives.
Just before the game started, Ophelia's call came in. Finnegan glanced at the caller ID, then looked up and said coldly, "Wait a moment, Ophelia is calling. Do you mind?"

Morgan sneered arrogantly, "Go ahead. This will be your last words with Ophelia. Soon, you won't have the chance to talk to her again. Ophelia really is a beauty."
After boss's baby, she Escape
