Chapter 637 Retired for a Year
Finnegan discovered that Lloyd took Warmie not only to retaliate against the Abbott family but also because he really liked Warmie.
During the time Warmie was with Lloyd, she even gained some weight. Her little face became more chubby, and Ophelia could tell that just by holding her.
On the way home, Warmie woke up. Seeing Ophelia, she immediately became sad and started to cry softly. Her tiny hands cupped Ophelia's face, and she babbled as if she were complaining about being taken by a bad person.
Warmie's aggrieved cries made Ophelia tear up again. "It's all my fault. I didn't protect you well, Warmie. It's Mommy's fault. I'm sorry."

It was Warmie's first time eating fruit, and she loved the sweetness. As she ate, she started to play, blowing bubbles with the fruit puree. Seeing the bubbles, Warmie became even happier, clapping her little hands and looking at her parents as if to say, "Mommy, Daddy, look how amazing I am."
Finnegan praised, "Warmie is so amazing."
Ophelia added, "Sweetie, you're the smartest."
Warmie blushed, covering her face with her hands and laughing. Her chubby cheeks trembled, and her laughter was so infectious that it lifted their spirits.
No matter how tired or hard things were, hearing Warmie's laughter made everything worth it, and all their fatigue disappeared.
Finnegan sat next to Ophelia, wrapping an arm around her waist, and said gently, "Ophelia, I made a decision on the way back. Given Warmie is still so little, I want to hand over all the company matters and stay home with you and Warmie for a year. Money can always be earned later."
Ophelia was stunned. It was rare for a man to say he would return to the family just to be with his wife and daughter.
Most men at Finnegan's age were focused on making a name for themselves, but Finnegan had already reached heights that others could only dream of. Now, he wanted to shift his focus to his family, spending his time and energy on them.
Family shouldn't be something you wait to love and accompany until you have time or grow old.
