Chapter 719 Dropping the Ball

In Karen's eyes, this photo was the smoking gun proving Tate had done time.

She snapped a few more pics and saved them on her phone.

Raymond and Tate, always on high alert, quickly noticed someone taking photos.

Raymond glanced in Karen's direction, making her heart race. She turned and bolted.

Karen had disguised herself well, so Raymond could only see a fleeing figure.

Tate had just gotten out of prison, and Raymond didn't want to ruin the moment. After a quick look at Tate, he shrugged it off.

Barbara warmly took Tate's hand, smiling. "Tate, you've lost weight. When we get home, I'll cook you something special."

Eugene chuckled, "Tate, you're home now. From today on, you're Tate Stewart, ready for a fresh start."

Tate's icy heart melted a bit. She hugged Barbara and Eugene. "Mom, Dad, thank you."

The hug moved Eugene and Barbara deeply.

They were relieved that Tate had truly accepted them.

But this didn't mean they had made up for all the pain Tate had endured because of their past negligence.

Tate hugged Raymond too. "Raymond, thank you."

Meeting Raymond had given her a real shot at a new life. Without him, she couldn't have started over.

Raymond smiled. "I should be thanking you. If I hadn't found you, I'd have regretted it forever."

Thinking about how he had tased Tate the first time they met, causing her so much pain, Raymond felt guilty.

Tate hugged everyone. When she looked around and didn't see Caspian, she felt a pang of disappointment.

'He's not coming,' she fretted.

Raymond noticed Tate's expression and said, "How about we wait a bit? It's rush hour; maybe he's stuck in traffic."

Tate shook her head. If her family could arrive early, how could Caspian be late if he really cared?

'Maybe it's not about being late; it's the message he's sending,' she thought.

Tate wasn't one to dwell on things. She hid her emotions well. "Mom, Dad, Raymond, let's go."

Eugene and Barbara exchanged a glance. They sensed Tate's displeasure, likely related to Caspian.

Eugene said, "Tate, you and your mom get in the car first."

Tate and Barbara got in. Eugene quietly asked Raymond, "Give Caspian a call. He said he'd come to pick up Tate. What's his deal?"

In the past few days, Eugene had been investigating Caspian, checking out all the women he had been linked with. Only then did he have a slightly better opinion of Caspian.

After some digging, it was clear that Caspian had been used by others and hadn't had any real relationships with any women.

Being in the business world, Eugene understood that young people sometimes need to play along. As long as Caspian could be loyal to Tate in the future, there would be no problem.

But seeing that Caspian didn't come, Eugene felt a pang of disappointment.

Raymond said, "If we call him, won't it seem like we're too eager? We are the Stewart family!"

Raymond was also quite displeased.

Eugene agreed, "We'll find a match for Tate at the homecoming party."

"Dad, get in the car. It's hot. Let's take Tate home for dinner first."

"Alright."

The two of them got in the car.

Tate collected her thoughts, glancing at the road multiple times. Deep down, she hoped Caspian would show up.

Just as the car started, a black sedan sped towards them and stopped about 10 feet away from Raymond's car.

Raymond hit the brakes. Tate felt a mix of nerves and hope as she looked at the black sedan. Could it be him?

The black sedan stopped, and someone got out. When Tate saw who it was, her eyes lit up!

After boss's baby, she Escape
