Chapter 454 All is Well with Granddaughter

Jude quickly shared the good news with Susan Abbott while Celia arranged for the doctor to prepare formula milk. She couldn't bear to let go of her granddaughter now. She just wanted to hold her like this.

Celia didn't have a daughter. Now she had a granddaughter, which fulfilled her wishes.

"Lucky, I'm your grandma. My dear Lucky is so adorable, and Grandma loves you so much."

After Jude finished the call, he also came over to see the baby. "Lucky, I'm your grandpa. When you grow up, Grandpa will take you fishing at sea."

Now, Jude had developed a new hobby - fishing.

Lucky was hungry, and Ophelia's wound had not been fully stitched up, so she could only have some formula milk first.

Once the milk was brought, Lucky eagerly drank it, finishing it quickly.

In Celia's eyes, her granddaughter was adorable no matter what she did.

Even when she peed or pooped, Celia would praise, "My granddaughter is amazing."

Outside the delivery room, Finnegan waited for a while. As Ophelia hadn't come out, he couldn't wait and went in to check.

The doctor was still stitching up Ophelia, and it was almost done.

Seeing Finnegan come in, Ophelia felt a bit embarrassed, "How did you come in?"

Although they were very close, she didn't want Finnegan to see her under such a situation. 'What if it caused any psychological issues to him?' she thought.

Ophelia felt awkward, too.

Seeing so much blood on the pad, Finnegan felt no disgust, only heartache.

"Honey, you've worked hard," Finnegan said, walking over, holding Ophelia's hand, and kissing her forehead. Lucky has my parents looking after her, don't worry."

Ophelia's face was pale too. She wanted to ask about Magnus but hesitated.

The stitching doctor said, "It's done. You can go back to the ward for observation."

It took one and a half hours to stitch up without anesthesia, and Ophelia gritted her teeth through it.

Finnegan didn't let other doctors carry Ophelia. He directly carried her back to the ward, laid a clean pad on the bed, and adjusted Ophelia to the most comfortable position.

Other mothers came out in wheelchairs, but Ophelia was carried back to the ward by her husband, making other mothers and doctors envious.

To avoid disturbing Ophelia's rest, Finnegan booked a suite where the baby and mother could be separated so that when the baby cried, it wouldn't disturb Ophelia's rest.

Celia brought the baby to show Ophelia, smiling, "Ophelia, look how amazing you are. You've given birth to such a well-behaved daughter, who looks exactly like Finnegan when he was young."

The elders loved to say this, but in reality, it's hard to tell who a baby resembles at such a young age. They all look similar.

Celia placed the baby next to Ophelia. Ophelia lay on the bed, looking down at her daughter in her arms, feeling particularly magical, "My daughter, I'm really a mother now."

Once, Ophelia wanted Magnus to be the child's godfather and Seraphina to be the godmother, as they had agreed before. But now, she had given birth to the baby without Seraphina, Magnus, or even Dovie not getting a chance to see their granddaughter.

Thinking about this, Ophelia started to cry.

Celia quickly said, "Ophelia, don't cry. It's bad for your eyes."

Jude added, "This is such a happy occasion, daughter-in-law, don't cry."

Finnegan knew why Ophelia was upset and crying, so he said, "Mom, you take Lucky out first. I'll stay with Ophe for a while to let her rest."

Celia said, "Alright, Ophelia is hungry too. She needs nutrition. I'll have the hospital prepare something for Ophelia to eat."

Celia's perspective changed after Ophelia gave birth to this child. Combined with Ophelia saving Finnegan before and being Dovie's daughter, Celia now truly cherished Ophelia like her own daughter.

After the two left with the child, Finnegan gently wiped away Ophelia's tears, "Honey, don't cry."

Ophelia sniffed and asked, "Have you been to the police station? What's the situation? Have you seen Magnus?"
