Chapter 478 Beauty's Deception
Niamh glared fiercely at Lori and Ricky. "The two of you have no right to insult me, a mistress and a bastard son of a mistress. You are not worthy."
Just the thought of being slept with by Ricky made Niamh wish to tear him to pieces.
She couldn't be with such a disgusting person!
Ricky's reminder made Niamh resent Ophelia even more. If it weren't for Ophelia, it would have been Rhodes who slept with Ricky, and she wouldn't have been implicated.
The words 'bastard son' and 'mistress' made Ricky and Lori's faces turn ugly.
Ricky stepped forward aggressively, wanting to hit her.
Jesse stood in front. "It's shameful to hit a woman."
"Where did you find another man? I'm glad I didn't marry you. Otherwise, I would be embarrassed by your affairs with other men," Ricky sneered. "I heard that you wanted to marry Caspian shamelessly, but Caspian refused. He would rather die than marry you."
Niamh's face turned ugly. Jesse said, "Bullying a woman is not what a man does."
"What, you want to stand up for this woman?" Ricky laughed. "Bro, I have to admire you. You're willing to take over this trash. Be careful. You might be in for a bad time. Oh, Niamh is a ruthless woman. Be careful not to get hurt. You never know what might happen."
With that, Ricky took Lori to register for a check-up.
Jesse looked at Niamh, seeing her eyes reddened, feeling a strange sense of pity.
Surrounded by people coming and going at the hospital, coupled with Ricky's harsh words, Niamh was just a woman in her twenties, after all.
Jesse took Niamh's hand. "Let's go."
Jesse led Niamh away, ignoring the strange looks from others.
Seeing Jesse in front of her, seeing his towering figure, for a moment, she was moved.
But she was Niamh, a cold, ruthless, selfish Niamh. She wouldn't truly fall for a student sponsored by Natalie, a subordinate.
Niamh always treated Jesse as a subordinate.
Once in the car, Jesse handed Niamh a tissue. "If you want to cry, then do it. You're just a woman in your twenties. You don't have to bear everything."
These words touched Niamh. She cried, but silently. Then she proudly wiped away her tears. "I am Niamh, the heiress of the Parks family. I won't cry, and I don't need your sympathy."
"That man just now, did you...?"
"He raped me," Niamh said fiercely. "It's all Ophelia's fault. Ophelia ruined my innocence and took everything from me. Jesse, I hate them. My mom is gone. I have no one left, only you."
With that, Niamh threw herself into Jesse's arms. She knew Jesse had shown some compassion toward her. In Niamh's mind, Jesse wasn't worthy of her, but she could still use him.
At that moment, when Niamh threw herself into his arms, Jesse's heart seemed to be struck. Jesse, a child from a low-income family, relied on Natalie's support to get to where he is today. He had to study hard to change his fate.
Jesse had lived for over thirty years, always being cautious, not daring to make mistakes, and always having to give more than others to get to where he was.
Jesse didn't dare to interact with women, becoming Natalie's most trusted assistant. Niamh cried, and at that moment, his initial impression of Niamh changed.
In reality, Niamh was foolish. Her unwillingness was a result of being bullied and wanting to fight back, nothing more.
Jesse didn't know what bad things Niamh had done. In his eyes, Niamh had been driven to a dead end by Ophelia and the others.
"I'll help you." Jesse gathered his courage and hugged Niamh. Also, because of this moment of infatuation, he embarked on a path of no return.
Hearing this, Niamh, in Jesse's arms, smiled triumphantly.
Before, Jesse always advised her not to do anything. Now, Jesse finally listened to everything she said. He would be the most loyal dog.
Niamh charmingly rose from Jesse's embrace. "Jesse, you're the best to me. So help me make Ophelia suffer to ease my heart. Ophelia and Finnegan have left New York. This is the best opportunity. Make Ophelia's daughter repeat her fate, to suffer, and to be sold off."
