Chapter 539 Being Watched
Ophelia was eager to follow Niamh and see what was going on, so she told Lynn to get in the car first, and they would talk on the way.
Ophelia was very excited and sped up as soon as they hit the highway.
Lynn asked, "Ophelia, where are we going?"
"To chase Niamh. Finnegan is very likely with her," Ophelia said. "The police found out that Niamh's car was also seen that night. After Finnegan's incident, Niamh left town several times. The police have been watching her for days, and she finally left town again."
"Niamh again?" Lynn had no good feelings toward Niamh. Even before she went abroad, when she was around Finnegan, she knew what kind of person Niamh was.
A cold glint flashed in Ophelia's eyes. "If it's confirmed that Niamh took Finnegan this time, I'll settle all scores with her."
At this moment, Niamh was about to exit the highway, just two miles from the toll station.
Niamh exited the highway and took a back road directly to the small house where Finnegan was being held.
This was a country road with almost no traffic, especially at night. Any headlights would be easily noticed.
The police were following behind but couldn't get too close.
The country road had many curves, and Niamh wasn't a great driver, so she was driving slowly. A casual glance in the rearview mirror revealed headlights behind her.
Even though Niamh was incompetent, she was still very cautious. Every time she came here, she was very careful.
After all, she had a guilty conscience.
Seeing the car behind her, Niamh pulled over to the side of the road, waiting for the car to pass.
The police following her were a bit flustered when Niamh stopped. They couldn't stop, too, or they would be exposed.
The police had to drive past her without hesitation.
They were in an unmarked car, and when Niamh saw it pass, she didn't start her car immediately. She waited until the car was far away and out of sight before continuing.
Now, she was about three miles from the small house. Driving down the country road, she caused quite a few dogs in the village to bark.
Soon, Niamh's car pulled into the small house. She turned off the headlights and looked around cautiously. It was pitch dark with no signs of anything unusual.
Niamh went upstairs and pushed open Finnegan's room door, coincidentally just as Finnegan was coming out of the shower, fumbling to get dressed.
The moment Niamh opened the door, Finnegan dropped his towel, and Niamh saw everything, her eyes widening and not blinking.
Hearing the noise, Finnegan hurriedly picked up her robe to cover himself.
Niamh pretended to be modest, saying, "Sorry, I didn't mean to."
She said that, but she didn't look away at all.
The scene just now had ignited a small flame in Niamh's heart. Before coming here, she was already furious with Jesse, and now only a handsome man could calm her down.
Finnegan felt quite speechless. Although he couldn't see, he could hear the commotion. Niamh said she was sorry, but he didn't hear any sound of her turning away.
Being seen by a woman he disliked, Finnegan felt both frustrated and taken advantage of.
"You can't see. How about I help you?" Niamh walked over, dropping all pretense of modesty.
Finnegan was speechless.
It was clear she was lusting after his looks.
"No, thank you," Finnegan remained polite. "I can do it myself."
Finnegan insisted on not letting anyone help him bathe, so earlier, a maid had led him to the bathroom, and he had washed himself, carefully avoiding his wounds.
He had no choice. He was somewhat of a clean freak. Not bathing for so long was unbearable.
If he had known Niamh would take advantage of him, he would have preferred to stay dirty for a few more days.
Luckily, Ophelia wasn't here. If she knew he had been seen, she would definitely be jealous.
Finnegan clutched his towel tightly, afraid Niamh would force herself on him.
"Alright then, I'll leave," Niamh said reluctantly. The scene just now had a huge impact on her.
After leaving, Niamh found the doctor responsible for treating Finnegan and asked, "Do you have that kind of drug?"
The doctor was confused. "What kind of drug?"
Facing two male doctors, Niamh was a bit embarrassed to say it, but thinking of Finnegan's looks and the possibility of having him, she said, "The drug that can arouse a man's desire. I want the strongest one."
The doctor understood and said, "Yes, we have it."
