Chapter 355 Taking Niamh Away

Dovie knelt, and Old Abbott immediately sat up. "Dovie, why are you kneeling? Get up quickly."
Old Abbott was in poor health and couldn't get out of bed to help Dovie up.

At that moment, Jude came in from outside and was shocked to see this scene. "Dovie, what's going on?"

Old Abbott said, "Quickly help Dovie up."
Jude hurriedly stepped forward to help Dovie.

Dovie looked at Old Abbott. "Old Abbott, please spare Niamh this time."
Old Abbott had actually already made up her mind that as Niamh was the descendant of her beloved, she couldn't just let her die.

"Get up. I will talk to Finnegan."
Old Abbott relented.

Dovie's face lit up with joy. "Thank you, Old Abbott. I had no other choice. Today, the Parks Family helped the Abbott Family. In the future, if you need anything, just let me know."

Old Abbott said, "If we really discuss it, your father had helped me a lot."
Dovie's words just now were also what Old Abbott had said to George back then.
Now it was her turn to help the Parks Family.

Jude, standing by, was very confused and didn't know what the two were talking about.
Jude looked at them. "Mom, Dovie, what are you talking about?"

Old Abbott didn't answer Jude's question and said, "You take Dovie back to rest. She has been taking care of me all night and must be exhausted."

Dovie said to Old Abbott, "Old Abbott, I'll head back now. Call me if you need anything. I'll come to see you again tomorrow."

"Go on." Old Abbott raised her hand slightly.

Jude escorted Dovie back. At the elevator, they ran into Celia. Seeing the two about to leave, Celia asked, "Where are you going?"

Jude said, "Mom asked me to take Dovie back. She has been taking care of her all night and is tired. It's not safe for her to drive."
"Then let the driver take her." Celia said. "I'll go with the driver. You go back and take care of Mom. There are some things I don't understand, and it's more convenient for you to be at the hospital."
Celia didn't want the two to be alone together.

Dovie didn't say anything, and Jude could only let Celia take her.
On the way back, Celia said sarcastically, "Dovie, you're so busy. You don't need to come to the hospital to take care of Old Abbott actually. As I'm Old Abbott's daughter-in-law, I can take care of her. I was feeling a bit unwell last night, so I went back. It's not that I don't care."

Dovie could see through Celia's thoughts and said, "Alright, Celia, thank you for your hard work."
Dovie understood Celia's intentions and didn't expose her.

Celia continued, "You're so rich now; you don't need to work so hard. Find a male companion. When people get old, they can't rely on their children; they rely on their companions. Wilder has been dead for so many years, and you're still a widow. What will you do when you get older?"

Now, Celia had no mind to trouble Ophelia. One reason was that Ophelia was pregnant, and the other was that she was afraid Jude and Dovie would rekindle their old feelings so she had to keep an eye on Jude.

Dovie forced a smile. "I haven't thought about finding one. I'm old now and don't want to find a companion. I really envy you as you and Jude have a good relationship. His temper has improved under your control as he wasn't calm when he was young. He loved you underneath so he's willing to let you manage him."

These words were to tell Celia that Jude liked her, so she shouldn't worry about her and Jude, making Celia feel at ease.
Celia was indeed overjoyed. "That's right. Jude has no other merits but is quite obedient. He listens to everything I say except for Finnegan choosing Ophelia as our daughter-in-law."

"Finnegan chose a good daughter-in-law for you." Dovie said. "You'll enjoy a good life in the future."

"Let's see if Ophelia gives me a grandson or granddaughter." Celia said. "By the way, I heard that Niamh and Ricky's wedding moved up to October 1st. Why the rush?"

Dovie casually replied, "The sooner they get married, the sooner I can have a grandchild."
Dovie actually didn't feel like dealing with Celia; she was worried about Niamh.

Meanwhile, at Rose Garden, Finnegan had smoked half a pack of cigarettes in the study room when the phone on the table rang.
Finnegan held a cigarette between his fingers and answered the call.

The person on the other end said, "Finnegan, Niamh is out now. She's in my car."
It was Caspian's voice.
After boss's baby, she Escape
