Chapter 247 Failure
Natalie acted quickly. She intended to check the birthmark on Ophe's waist.
However, Ophe was frightened, pulled away her clothes instinctively, and said urgently, "Natalie, it's really not necessary."
There was a hint of displeasure in her tone.
Because Ophe reacted quickly, Natalie didn't have a chance to examine her waist for a birthmark.
"I'll still help you clean it. I'm really sorry." Natalie persisted in taking a look.
Ophe raised her hand to block. "No need, you go ahead and eat. I'll go clean up in the restroom."
Leaving these words behind, Ophe quickly left the private room.
When Natalie suddenly lifted her clothes just now, she thought Natalie wanted to harm the child in her belly, and her heartbeat accelerated in fear.
In the restroom, Ophe briefly cleaned the stains on her clothes. Because it was sweet soy sauce, it couldn't be washed off at all, so she could only temporarily leave it like that.
After washing her hands, Ophe recalled Natalie's strange behavior just now. Who would lift someone's clothes like that when wiping them? She clearly saw that Natalie intentionally knocked over the bowl.
What exactly was Natalie's intention?
She didn't seem to hurt the baby.
The bowl of sweet soy sauce wasn't hot so that it couldn't have caused any burns.
Natalie couldn't possibly be intentionally splashing her with sweet soy sauce to vent her anger on Niamh.
Ophe couldn't figure out Natalie's motives, so she temporarily stopped thinking about it.
She walked out of the restroom and didn't return to the private room. Instead, she asked Addison to check on Natalie. If Natalie asked about her, she could say she was accompanying Old Abbott.
When Addison went to the private room, Natalie had already left. She immediately went to inform Ophe, "Ophe, she's left."
"Left?" Ophe was puzzled and said, "Did she pay?"
Even if it was a friend coming for a meal, they still had to pay, let alone Natalie.
Addison replied, "She paid."
"Then, it's fine," Ophe said, "Addison, you can go do your thing."
Ophe still had to accompany the Old Abbott, and so after Addison left, she went to the private room to find Old Abbott.
The Old Abbott was happily live streaming, chatting excitedly with everyone, and even praised the taste of the Japanese restaurant, inviting everyone to join.
Ophe walked in and glanced at the number of people watching the live stream. She found that there were over two hundred viewers.
"Granny, there are so many people, and they even sent you gifts." Ophe felt particularly surprised.
Old Abbott live-streamed for a while and also figured out the rules of live-streaming. She even changed her username to Grandma Who Loves Sushi.
Many people left messages on the livestream.
[Granny is so trendy.]
[Seeing Grandma reminds me of my grandma.]
[Grandma is so kind and gentle. She must have been beautiful when she was young.]
[Elegant Grandma, if I can have half of your grace and composure when I grow old, I'll be content.]
[Grandma, can you eat sweet things? Don't upset your stomach.]
This time, the internet users were all friendly, and Old Abbott chatted with everyone. When she encountered online users who complained about their stressful lives, she would offer comforting words.
Ophe looked at the gifts that were sent and noticed that Finnegan had been the most supportive of Grandma.
When Ophe arrived, Old Abbott proudly showed off, "Ophe, look, there are people who are sending me gifts. These kids are so interesting."
In Old Abbott's eyes, these online users were just like children.
"Look, they sent gifts again. I told them not to, and I don't need those. Nowadays, they have it hard, but they still want to send them."
These gifts were really not worth mentioning for the Old Abbott.
"Granny, you can turn off the gifts," Ophe said, "Should I turn it off for you? Your grandson is the top tipper on the leaderboard."
"My grandson tipped me?" Old Abbott was not happy and pouted, "The little brat, I don't need him to tip me. Lack of respect for elders, treating me like a beggar."
Ophe laughed. "He wants to increase the popularity of your livestream. I'll turn off the gifts."
"Okay, turn it off." Old Abbott said, "They have it hard."
