Chapter 509 A Little Peek
Natalie felt guilty. She knew exactly what was going on in her heart, but she couldn't say it. "I just have poor health. I used to do business in Eurona before, with an irregular diet and irregular routines, which messed up my health." Natalie coughed. "Wilder, for the sake of the feelings I had for you back then..."
This statement angered Wilder. Wilder stood up, looking coldly at Natalie. "Dovie is really unfortunate to have a sister like you."
He had rejected Natalie in the past.
Outside the ward, Niamh was restless. Ophelia and Landon were talking not far away, their voices audible but unclear to Niamh. At some crucial names, Ophelia intentionally raised her voice, mentioning Sybil and Magnus. Niamh naturally felt guilty upon hearing these names. She paid much attention to listen.
Landon said, "There's progress in Sybil's case. Some special soil and a hair were found in the vehicle at the time of the accident."
Upon hearing about the hair, Niamh's face changed drastically, as it was the crucial evidence. Once a DNA comparison was done, her involvement in Sybil's death by car would be exposed.
Niamh looked strange, which was observed by Landon. He had just said that to test Niamh. There was actually no hair.
If there had been, they would have already had enough evidence to arrest her.
Ophelia naturally understood Landon's intent; he was testing Niamh.
Niamh remained composed, standing still by the side.
Soon, Wilder came out. Niamh stood watching as Wilder approached Ophelia. She saw how the police treated Wilder with utmost respect, and she was consumed with jealousy.
The name Niamh was given to Ophelia by Dovie and Wilder at first, but now Niamh was using that name, so naturally, Ophelia wouldn't use it anymore, and she had never changed her name.
Name is just a title. Even if Ophelia's surname was Sinclair, it won't change the fact that she was Dovie and Wilder's daughter.
Niamh watched as Ophelia and the others left, surrounded by the police and royal guards. They were truly noble, a grandeur not achievable by wealth alone but by a pivotal status. Even the chief came personally, and they were received by the local police.
The royal guards was brought by Katherine. Knowing Wilder was here, Katherine followed, but Wilder was unwilling to meet her.
Wilder now resided in the Abbott family's old mansion, with royal guards stationed around for his safety. Plainclothes police were also stationed around. The Abbott family's old mansion was well protected, like a fortress.
Because Wilder was there, Ophelia sent Warmie to the old mansion. Having a child around made the elders happier and livelier.
This made it impossible for Jesse to make a move. As long as Warmie was at the Abbott family's old mansion, there was no opportunity.
After Ophelia's identity was revealed, Caspian was also greatly surprised. After confirming with Finnegan, he went upstairs to find Tate.
"Tate, you're really lucky. Do you know who Ophelia is, a royal princess!"
Caspian was too excited. He pushed the door open and was stunned by what he saw inside.
Tate had removed her clothes, wearing only an undershirt, and was changing her bandages in front of the mirror.
Hearing the commotion, Tate immediately put on her clothes and gave Caspian a cold look, her eyes like knives piercing through Caspian.
Caspian swallowed nervously and quickly turned away. "I'm sorry. I didn't see anything. Oh, I mean, just a little peek."
Saying he didn't see anything was lying. Caspian did see, and he didn't expect Tate to have such a good figure, which was truly enticing.
Tate sat in front of the mirror, coldly saying, "Get out."
Caspian closed the door and thought about Tate's wounds. Since no one was helping her change the bandages, Tate was inconvenienced, so he opened the door again and asked, "Do you need help?"
Tate shot him a look that could kill him. "Piss off!"
"Got it!" Caspian was startled and instinctively replied, politely closing the door. This reaction hinted that Caspian would be afraid of his future wife.
