Chapter 634 Wilder Steps In at the Critical Moment

Ruth walked out of the hotel, scanning the crowd for Finnegan, only to immediately lock eyes with Raymond in the midst of the throng.

Many people in Moonlight Gate had fallen into Raymond's hands, so Ruth recognized him instantly.

She realized that the domestic police had tracked them to Rivonia.

Ruth gave up chasing Finnegan. She quickly hid in the crowd and took the opportunity to leave.

Given that Warmie had lost under her protection, Ruth could already predict that Lloyd would be furious if he found out, but she still had to call and inform him.

Lloyd had just arrived at his hometown. Seeing the ruins, his anger flared up. When he received the call and learned that something had happened at the hotel, Raymond had tracked them to Rivonia, and Warmie was lost, his rage intensified.

What made Lloyd furious was losing Warmie, who had become his emotional support. Without Warmie, he felt at a loss.

With the police on their trail, Lloyd had no choice but to continue hiding. Confronting the police head-on was not an option.

Given that Raymond had tracked them to Rivonia, Lloyd realized that Tate and Aria must have provided a lot of leads, which made Lloyd extremely angry.

All the hotel guests were evacuated, which alerted the local police.

In the end, the hotel deemed it was a misunderstanding. They assumed that someone was just trying to cause a disturbance as there was no fire actually.

Raymond also realized that tonight's incident at the hotel was related to Finnegan. Now that Lloyd was alerted, he would definitely leave.

Raymond contacted Finnegan. "Was the hotel incident your doing?"

"Yes." Finnegan had already taken Warmie to another hotel.

With Warmie in hand, Finnegan no longer had to worry, feeling relieved. He could finally make Ophelia rest assured.

Just as he settled down, Raymond's call came through.

Raymond said anxiously, "You've alerted Lloyd. He's definitely on the run now, making it even harder to track him."

"That's your business. I only care about my daughter," Finnegan said coldly. "I can't gamble with her safety."

Raymond was left speechless. Finnegan was true. The hostage's safety was more important in contrast with capturing the criminal.

Rescuing a defenseless baby was indeed challenging, and Raymond had not been entirely confident about bringing Warmie back before coming here.

Finnegan hung up the phone. From Yorkhaven to Rivonia, he had been following Lloyd for nearly half a month, calculating every day how to bring Warmie back.

These days felt like years to him.

After hanging up, Finnegan looked at the sleeping Warmie on the bed, his gaze tender. He couldn't help but kiss Warmie's forehead and said, "Warmie, Daddy will protect you and let you grow up happily."

Finnegan called Ophelia. When she learned that Warmie had been brought back, Ophelia was overjoyed and made a video call to see her.

Through the phone, Ophelia saw the sleeping Warmie. She couldn't hold back her tears of joy. "Warmie."

Ophelia was ecstatic, feeling like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders.

"When are you coming back, tomorrow? Wilder is already in Rivonia. Why don't you contact him and return to Yorkhaven together?" Ophelia was worried that Finnegan might suffer if he confronted Lloyd alone.

"I'll bring Warmie back tomorrow. I won't bother Wilder; I'll call him later to explain," Finnegan said. "Ophelia, you can rest easy now. Get a good night's sleep, and you'll see Warmie tomorrow."

"Okay." Ophelia was so excited that she couldn't take her eyes off Warmie.

That night, Finnegan shared the same feelings with Ophelia. Too excited to sleep, he changed Warmie's diaper in the midnight.

He hadn't prepared formula, and when Warmie cried from hunger at night, he had the hotel make some soup for Warmie to drink.

To bring Warmie back, Finnegan had come alone, lurking around Lloyd. Even now, Lloyd didn't know who had taken Warmie; he thought it was the police.

Without Warmie, Lloyd couldn't sleep that night, feeling extremely uneasy.

Early the next morning, Lloyd ordered everyone in Moonlight Gate in Rivonia to find Warmie's whereabouts and bring her back.

Moonlight Gate's tracking ability exceeded Finnegan's expectations. When he took Warmie to the airport, he spotted people from Moonlight Gate at the entrance.

Rivonia, being a small town, had only one airport. Opting for a flight was the quickest way out of Rivonia, with just two flights scheduled for Yorkhaven that morning.

Lloyd had already stationed people at the airport.

Finnegan, wearing a baseball cap, hid in the restroom with Warmie. He made a call to Wilder. "Wilder, I've been spotted at the airport."
