Chapter 198 She Will Be Good After a Shot
Upon hearing his answer, Ophe couldn't contain her excitement any longer, and joy overflowed from the depths of her heart. She jumped up and down in delight and landed on him.
Finnegan caught her, alarmed. "You can't engage in vigorous exercise right now; be careful."
Ophe laughed and hugged his neck. "Finnegan, you're going to be a dad. We have a baby."
This surprise came too suddenly, and Ophe felt like her life was in cheat mode. She had met Finnegan, gotten married, and was pregnant. Everything was going so smoothly and happily.
The joy in Finnegan's heart was no less than Ophe's.
Before meeting Ophe, he never thought life could be like this.
From now on, he had someone else to protect.
On the way back, Ophe hummed a song, feeling that the wind was sweet.
When they arrived home, Ophe obediently lay down on the bed and rested, drinking plenty of water.
Ophe asked, "Do we need to tell your family about my pregnancy?"
"Not for now," Finnegan said. "Let's wait until your situation is stable, and then we can tell them after three months."
"It's up to you."
Ophe caressed her belly, her heart filled with anticipation.
During the mix-up incident, she had felt uneasy and pressured, but now all she felt was happiness.
Finnegan got in bed and held her as usual. "Rest early, and don't worry about overseeing the decoration anymore. The paint smell is strong. I'll leave those tasks to Linda. Once it's open, you can be the boss and sit there and collect money."
Ophe laughed. "Aren't you underutilizing the secretary you hired with a million-dollar salary by having her oversee the decoration of the Japanese restaurant?"
"You don't have many friends on a regular basis. When you feel bored, you can chat with Linda, go shopping, or spend time with Grandma. Grandma is also lonely on her own so you can keep her company."
Finnegan knew about Ophe's social circle. Other than Magnus and Seraphina, who grew up with them, there were no other close friends.
Magnus, being a man, had many things that were inconvenient for him, and Finnegan was well aware of the conflict between Seraphina and Ophe, even if he didn't interfere.
Ophe turned around in his arms and looked at him closely. Her heart was filled with love, and she kissed his lips. "Honey, you're really good."
He really considered everything for her.
It was because of his attentiveness that she chose not to believe in Celia's instigation.
She had eyes and a heart and could feel whether he was sincere.
'Even if I took a step back, with his net worth of trillions, why would I be afraid as someone who had nothing?' She considered.
He kissed her forehead. "Go to sleep."
Ophe snuggled in his arms but couldn't really sleep. Her nose was stuffy because of a slight fever.
Ophe tossed and turned in his arms.
He opened his eyes, his voice deep and magnetic. "If you really can't sleep, I'll give you an injection."
He asked suddenly, and Ophe didn't react in time and blurted out, "Pregnant women shouldn't receive injections, right?"
When she saw the desire in his eyes and touched his body, she instantly understood.
The injection he mentioned wasn't real.
Ophe pursed her lips and turned around. "I'm going to sleep."
Since she was sick and pregnant, Finnegan naturally couldn't touch her.
"I'm going to take a shower." Finnegan got up and went to the bathroom.
Ophe took advantage of the situation and acted coy. "Do you want me to help?"
Finnegan, who had just enjoyed happiness for a short while, could only endure again because Ophe was pregnant.
Finnegan took care of Ophe at home for two days until her fever completely subsided and her body recovered before going to the company.
Ophe was pregnant, and Finnegan insisted that she rest at home and not go out or eat recklessly. He meant that if she felt bored, she could go to the company to find him.
Linda would go to the Japanese restaurant every day to help oversee things and report back to Ophe. It could also be considered a vacation.
Being a supervisor was a lot more relaxing than being exhausted at the company. Atticus was jealous and wanted to switch places with Linda.
Ophe couldn't stand being at home for a few days, and coincidentally, her former colleague Addison called her to make dates.
Ophe remembered that she had asked Addison to help her find out about Tobias.
So, Ophe changed her clothes and went out.
