Chapter 181 I Support You
Baci in Orchid Garden, Finnegan deliberately locked Niamh and Blaire in a room, sealing the doors and windows.
Sure enough, as soon as the door was locked, there was movement inside.
In the room, Niamh struggled to stand up from her wheelchair and slapped Blaire as soon as she approached her. "You bitch, who gave you the right to talk nonsense in front of Finnegan? I must tear your mouth apart."
Niamh viciously grabbed Blaire's hair and pulled and tugged at it.
Although Niamh was a noble lady, she did not grow up in the Parks Family and had spent fifteen years outside. Her character had long been formed and could not be changed or educated by Dovie.
Niamh lacked the quality of gentleness, poise, and assurance.
Niamh was stubborn, indulgent, and arrogant. Whenever she was unhappy, she would resort to violence, and it was always excessive.
Blaire didn't dare to fight back and could only endure Niamh's blows. Her hair was forcibly torn off, blooding streamed down her head, yet Niamh still didn't let go, continuously using her hands to pinch Blaire.
Blaire cried out in pain, and Niamh glared at her fiercely. "If you dare to scream, once we're out of here, I'll let someone kill you."
Blaire dared not scream anymore and endured the pain, allowing Niamh to vent her anger.
Soon, Blaire's body was covered in bruises.
Meanwhile, Ophe and Finnegan were in the main bedroom upstairs. Ophe had taken a shower, changed clothes, and finally began to recover.
Seeing that she had finished washing up, Finnegan beckoned to her. "Come here, I'll blow-dry your hair."
Ophe walked over and sat beside him.
Finnegan took the hairdryer and gently blew Ophe's hair. His movements were very gentle.
Ophe jokingly said, "Were you blow-drying other women's hair like this before? Your technique is so skilled."
"You are the first," Finnegan said seriously as he blow-dried her hair. Ophe's hair had never been permed or dyed; it was naturally beautiful.
Ophe thought of what had happened at the restaurant earlier and felt a lingering fear. She glanced at him out of the corner of her eye and asked, "How did you know I was in that private room?"
"I was socializing upstairs when Caspian saw you in the hallway," Finnegan explained. "I asked someone to find out what was going on and learned that Paxton was there, so I came down."
Paxton was notorious for being promiscuous, and Finnegan was definitely nervous. Upon hearing the news, he hurriedly called Ophe, but no one answered, and he knew something was wrong.
Luckily, he arrived in time.
Ophe turned around and reached out to embrace his waist, gently rubbing her face against his abdomen, feeling safe.
She didn't say anything, but Finnegan knew she must have been scared at that moment.
He lowered his head and looked at the woman in his arms. His large palm caressed her hair as he spoke in a warm tone. "Leave Parks Corporation and work as my secretary. If you're worried about gossip, I'll invest in starting a company for you to manage."
Ophe was speechless.
She held onto his waist, looking up at him with a smile. "You have already given me a lot of money, so did your father and grandma. If you give me more money, I'll just become a lazy bum and live off it."
He smiled, touching her face with doting eyes. "Alright, I'll support you, my honey."
Being able to support Ophe and provide her with a better life made Finnegan feel accomplished.
Ophe believed that Finnegan's support was of high quality and that she didn't need to worry about money.
However, Ophe also had her principles and would not rely on someone.
But Finnegan's proposal just now gave her the idea of opening a shop.
Ophe changed the subject. "You locked Niamh and Blaire in the same room. Won't they start fighting, right?"
"Blaire is a criminal accomplice, so she naturally deserves to be taught a lesson."
Finnegan hoped Niamh would hurt Blaire. He refrained from striking women, yet he would employ Niamh's hand to gather some dues.
Just then, Caspian knocked on the door. "Boss, Niamh's mother is here. Hurry down, or Niamh might beat Blaire to death."
Upon hearing this, Ophe and Finnegan exchanged glances and quickly descended the staircase.
After Dovie rushed over and heard Niamh's voice coming from the room on the first floor, she thought Niamh was being bullied and asked Lina to open the door.
Lina also knew Dovie's identity and her relationship with the Abbott Family. Hearing the screams from inside the room, she became worried and used the key to open the door.
Dovie immediately entered the room, and upon seeing the situation inside, she froze and turned pale.
